Jeremiah 14:12
When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and meal offering, I will not accept them; but I will consume them by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”

তেওঁলোকে লঘোন দিলেও মই তেওঁলোকৰ কাতৰোক্তি নুশুনিম আৰু তেওঁলোকে হোম ও নৈবেদ্য উৎসৰ্গ কৰিলেও তেওঁলোকক গ্ৰহণ নকৰিম; কিন্তু তৰোৱাল, আকাল, আৰু মহামাৰীৰ দ্বাৰাই মই তেওঁলোকক সংহাৰ কৰিম।”

Khi chúng nó kiêng ăn, ta sẽ chẳng nghe lời khấn nguyện của chúng nó; khi chúng nó dâng của lễ thiêu và của lễ chay, ta chẳng nhậm đâu; nhưng ta sẽ diệt chúng nó bởi gươm dao, đói kém, và ôn dịch.
Khi chúng kiêng ăn cầu nguyện, Ta sẽ không nghe. Khi chúng dâng tế lễ thiêu và của lễ chay, Ta sẽ không chấp nhận. Thay vào đó, Ta sẽ tiêu diệt chúng bằng chiến tranh, đói kém, và dịch bệnh.”
