Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,

وَهَكَذَا، يَتَبَيَّنُ أَنَّ الرَّاحَةَ الإِلَهِيَّةَ هِيَ فِي انْتِظَارِ مَنْ سَيَدْخُلُونَ إِلَيْهَا. وَبِمَا أَنَّ الَّذِينَ تَلَقَّوْا الْبِشَارَةَ بِهَا أَوَّلاً لَمْ يَدْخُلُوا إِلَيْهَا بِسَبَبِ تَمَرُّدِهِمْ،

অতএব বাকি থাকল এই যে, কিছু লোক বিশ্রামে প্রবেশ করবে এবং অনেক ইস্রায়েলীয়েরা যারা সুসমাচার পেয়েছিল, তারা অবাধ্যতার কারণে প্রবেশ করতে পারেনি;
একথা এখনও ঠিক যে, কিছু লোক সেই বিশ্রামে প্রবেশ করবে এবং যাদের কাছে পূর্বে সুসমাচার প্রচার করা হয়েছিল, তাদের অবাধ্যতার জন্য তারা প্রবেশ করতে পারেনি।

Der Eingang in die Ruhe steht also für einige noch in Aussicht. Jene aber, an die zuerst die Freudenbotschaft erging, sind ihres Ungehorsams wegen nicht eingegangen.
Es bleibt also dabei, daß manche in sie eingehen, doch auch, daß die, die zuerst die frohe Botschaft empfangen haben, wegen ihres Ungehorsams nicht hineingekommen sind.
Weil nun übrigbleibt, daß etliche in dieselbe eingehen, und die, welchen zuerst die gute Botschaft verkündigt worden ist, des Ungehorsams wegen nicht eingegangen sind,
