Memang sudah sepatutnya Allah--yang menciptakan segala sesuatu untuk maksud-Nya sendiri--membuat Yesus penyelamat yang sempurna melalui penderitaan. Dengan itu Allah dapat mengajak banyak orang untuk turut diagungkan bersama Yesus. Sebab Dialah pembuka jalan bagi mereka untuk bisa diselamatkan.
Adalah hal yang tepat bahwa Allah yang menciptakan dan memelihara segala sesuatu, membawa banyak anak-Nya kepada kemuliaan, dan untuk sepenuhnya mempersiapkan melalui penderitaan orang yang menuntun mereka menuju keselamatan.
Sebab memang sesuai dengan keadaan Allah--yang bagi-Nya dan oleh-Nya segala sesuatu dijadikan--, yaitu Allah yang membawa banyak orang kepada kemuliaan, juga menyempurnakan Yesus, yang memimpin mereka kepada keselamatan, dengan penderitaan.
Allah, sebagai Sang Pencipta yang menjadikan segala sesuatu bagi kemuliaan-Nya, layak untuk dipuji dan dimuliakan oleh banyak anak. Untuk mencapai tujuan itu, Allah menetapkan bahwa Yesus, sebagai Perintis Keselamatan kita, harus melalui penderitaan agar layak menjadi Penyelamat.

蓋萬物は神の為に、又神によりて造られたるものなれば、多くの子を光榮に導き給へるもの、即ち彼等の救霊の原に在せるものをば、宜しく苦を以て全うし給ふべきは、神に於て適當なる事なりき。
