وَعِنْدَمَا قَرُبَ يَوْمُ وَفَاتِهِ، اسْتَدْعَى ابْنَهُ يُوسُفَ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «إِنْ كُنْتُ قَدْ حَظِيتُ بِرِضَاكَ، فَضَعْ يَدَكَ تَحْتَ فَخْذِي، وَأَسْدِ لِي مَعْرُوفاً وَأَمَانَةً: لاَ تَدْفِنِّي فِي مِصْرَ
