When they had gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, Joseph said to his steward, “Up, follow after the men. When you overtake them, ask them, ‘Why have you rewarded evil for good?

| وَمَا كَادُوا يَبْتَعِدُونَ عَنِ الْمَدِينَةِ قَلِيلاً حَتَّى قَالَ يُوسُفُ لِمُدَبِّرِ بَيْتِهِ: «اسْعَ خَلْفَ الرِّجَالِ، وَمَا إِنْ تُدْرِكُهُمْ حَتَّى تَقُولَ لَهُمْ: لِمَاذَا تُكَافِئُونَ الْخَيْرَ بِالشَّرِّ؟ |

তেওঁলোক নগৰৰ পৰা ওলাই যোৱাৰ পাছত, অধিক দূৰ গৈ পোৱাৰ আগতেই যোচেফে তেওঁৰ ঘৰগিৰীক ক’লে, “সোনকালে সেই লোকসকলৰ পাছে পাছে যোৱা। তেওঁলোকক লগ পাই ক’বা, ‘তোমালোকে উপকাৰৰ সলনি কিয় অপকাৰ কৰি আহিলা? কিয় তোমালোকে মোৰ প্রভুৰ পিয়লা চুৰ কৰিলা?

ἐξελθόντων δὲ αὐτῶν τὴν πόλιν οὐκ ἀπέσχον μακράν καὶ Ιωσηφ εἶπεν τῷ ἐπὶ τῆς οἰκίας αὐτοῦ ἀναστὰς ἐπιδίωξον ὀπίσω τῶν ἀνθρώπων καὶ καταλήμψῃ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτοῖς τί ὅτι ἀνταπεδώκατε πονηρὰ ἀντὶ καλῶν
