પણ તેણે ઇનકાર નકાર કરીને તેના માલિકની પત્નીને કહ્યું, “જો, ઘરમાં શું શું મારા હવાલામાં છે તે મારો માલિક જાણતો નથી અને તેણે તેનું જે સર્વ છે તે મારા હાથમાં સોંપ્યું છે.

पर उसने अस्वीकार करते हुए अपने स्वामी की पत्नी से कहा, “सुन, जो कुछ इस घर में है मेरे हाथ में है; उसे मेरा स्वामी कुछ नहीं जानता, और उसने अपना सब कुछ मेरे हाथ में सौंप दिया है।
किंतु योसेफ़ ने मना किया और अपनी स्वामिनी से कहा, “यह समझने की कोशिश कीजिए कि इस घर में मेरे स्वामी किसी भी विषय की चिंता नहीं करते, उन्होंने तो अपनी पूरी संपत्ति ही मेरे पास छोड़ दी है.

Yusuf tidak mau dan berkata kepadanya, "Maaf, Nyonya, tuan Potifar telah mempercayakan segala miliknya kepada saya. Ia tidak perlu memikirkan apa-apa lagi di rumah ini.
Tetapi Yusuf menolak dan berkata kepada isteri tuannya itu: "Dengan bantuanku tuanku itu tidak lagi mengatur apa yang ada di rumah ini dan ia telah menyerahkan segala miliknya pada kekuasaanku,
Tetapi Yusuf menolak istri majikannya itu. Kata Yusuf, “Tuan Potifar sudah mempercayakan segala miliknya kepada saya.

ヨセフ拒みて主人の妻にいひけるは視よわが主人の家の中の物をかへりみずその有るものことごとくわが手に委ぬ
ヨセフは拒んで、主人の妻に言った、「御主人はわたしがいるので家の中の何をも顧みず、その持ち物をみなわたしの手にゆだねられました。
ヨセフ拒みて主人の妻にいひけるは視よわが主人の家の中の物をかへりみずその有るものことごとくわが手に委ぬ
