So he drove out the man; and he placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Աստուած դուրս հանեց Ադամին, բնակեցրեց բերկրութեան դրախտի դիմաց եւ հրամայեց քերովբէներին ու բոցեղէն սրին շուրջանակի հսկել դէպի կենաց ծառը տանող ճանապարհները:

এই ভাবে ঈশ্বর মানুষকে তাড়িয়ে দিলেন এবং জীবনবৃক্ষের পথ রক্ষা করবার জন্য এদন বাগানের পূর্বদিকে করূবদেরকে ও ঘূর্ণায়মান তেজোময় তলোয়ার রাখলেন।
সেই মানুষটিকে তাড়িয়ে দেওয়ার পর, এদন বাগানের পূর্বদিকে তিনি করূবদের মোতায়েন করে দিলেন এবং জীবনদায়ী গাছের কাছে পৌঁছানোর পথ রক্ষা করার জন্য ঘূর্ণায়মান জ্বলন্ত এক তরোয়ালও বসিয়ে দিলেন।

इसलिए आदम को उसने निकाल दिया और जीवन के वृक्ष के मार्ग का पहरा देने के लिये अदन की वाटिका के पूर्व की ओर करूबों को, और चारों ओर घूमनेवाली अग्निमय तलवार को भी नियुक्त कर दिया।
तब उन्होंने आदम को एदेन के बगीचे से बाहर कर दिया तथा एदेन के बगीचे की निगरानी के लिए करूबों को और चारों ओर घूमनेवाली ज्वालामय तलवार को रख दिया ताकि कोई जीवन के वृक्ष को छू न सके.
