Now this is the copy of the letter that King Artaxerxes gave to Ezra the priest, the scribe, even the scribe of the words of the LORD’s commandments, and of his statutes to Israel:

| وَهَذِهِ صُورَةُ ٱلرِّسَالَةِ ٱلَّتِي أَعْطَاهَا ٱلْمَلِكُ أَرْتَحْشَشْتَا لِعَزْرَا ٱلْكَاهِنِ ٱلْكَاتِبِ، كَاتِبِ كَلَامِ وَصَايَا ٱلرَّبِّ وَفَرَائِضِهِ عَلَى إِسْرَائِيلَ: |
| وَهَذَا نَصُّ الرِّسَالَةِ الَّتِي سَلَّمَهَا الْمَلِكُ أَرْتَحْشَشْتَا لِعِزْرَا الْكَاهِنِ الْكَاتِبِ، الْعَالِمِ بِكَلاَمِ وَصَايَا الرَّبِّ وَفَرَائِضِهِ الَّتِي أَبْلَغَهَا لإِسْرَائِيلَ: |

অর্তক্ষস্ত রাজা যে চিঠি ইষ্রা যাজককে সেই লিপিকারকে, যিনি সদাপ্রভুর অদেশবাক্যের ও ইস্রায়েলের প্রতি তাঁর বিধির শিক্ষক ছিলেন তাঁকে দিয়েছিলেন, তার অনুলিপি এই,
সম্রাট অর্তক্ষস্ত এই পত্রটি ইষ্রাকে পাঠিয়েছিলেন, যিনি ছিলেন একজন যাজক ও শিক্ষক এবং ইস্রায়েলের প্রভু সদাপ্রভু প্রদত্ত অনুশাসন ও বিধিব্যাবস্থা সংক্রান্ত বিষয়ে একজন জ্ঞানসম্পন্ন ব্যক্তি।
