to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, and do not set their top among the thick boughs. Their mighty ones do not stand up on their height, even all who drink water; for they are all delivered to death, to the lower parts of the earth, among the children of men, with those who go down to the pit.’

| لِئَلاَّ تَشْمَخَ شَجَرَةٌ مَا مَغْرُوسَةٌ عَلَى الْمِيَاهِ لاِرْتِفَاعِ قَامَتِهَا، وَلاَ تُطَاوِلُ بِهَامَتِهَا الْغُيُومَ، وَلِكَيْ لاَ تَبْلُغَ أَيَّةُ شَجَرَةٍ تُرْوِيهَا الْمِيَاهُ مِثْلَ هَذَا الْعُلُوِّ، لأَنَّهَا جَمِيعَهَا مَآلُهَا الْمَوْتُ، حَيْثُ تَمْضِي إِلَى الأَرْضِ السُّفْلَى بَيْنَ الْفَانِينَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ، مَعَ الْهَابِطِينَ إِلَى الْهَاوِيَةِ. |
জল সমূহৰ কাষত থকা গছবোৰৰ কোনো গছে নিজ উচ্চতাত গৰ্ব্ব নকৰিবৰ নিমিত্তে, বা তাৰ ওপৰ ভাগ মেঘস্পৰ্শী নকৰিবলৈ, নাইবা সেইবোৰৰ বৃহৎবোৰৰ মাজৰ পানী পান কৰাসকলৰ মাজৰ কোনেও উচ্চতাত নিজকে ওখ নেদেখুৱাবৰ বাবে, মই ইয়াকে কৰিলোঁ। কিয়নো সেই আটাইবোৰ মৃত্যুলৈ, পৃথিৱীৰ আধা ভাগলৈ, গাতলৈ নামিব লগাবোৰে সৈতে মনুষ্য সন্তান সকলৰ মাজত সমৰ্পিত হ’ল।”

অন্য কোন জলের কাছের গাছ এত বড় আর লম্বা হয়নি যাতে তাদের গাছ অন্য গাছের থেকে উঁচুঁ, কারণ অন্যগাছ জল পান করে বড় ও লম্বা হয়েছে। কারণ তাদেরকে মৃত্যুতে সমর্পণ করা হবে, পৃথিবীর নিচের অংশে মানুষের সন্তানদের মধ্যে যারা গর্তের সমর্পিত হয়েছে।
এই জন্য জলের ধারের অন্য কোনো গাছ অহংকারে উঁচু হবে না, তাদের মাথা ঘন বনের উপরে উঠবে না। আর কোনো গাছ এত ভালো জল পেয়েও কখনও এত উঁচুতে পৌঁছাবে না; তারা সবাই মানুষের মতো মৃত্যুর অধীন, তারা পৃথিবীর গভীরে পাতালে নেমে যাওয়ার জন্য ঠিক হয়ে আছে।

好使水旁的诸树不因高大而自尊，也不将树尖插入云中，并且那些得水滋润、有势力的，也不得高大自立。因为它们在世人中，和下坑的人都被交与死亡，到阴府去了。”

The result of what I have done is that no other trees, even if they have plenty of water, will ever grow very high and become proud, and lift their tops above the branches of other trees. I do not want any other tree to grow high like that cedar tree did; trees will all certainly die and decay in the ground, like people die and go down to their graves.’

Ettei enään yksikään puu veden tykönä iso olisi korkeudestansa, eikä sen latva seisoisi korkiana suurten paksuin oksain seassa, ja ettei yksikään puu veden tykönä tekisi itsiänsä suuremmaksi muita; sillä heidän kaikkein pitää maan alle ja kuolemalle annetuksi tuleman, niinkuin muutkin ihmiset, jotka kuoppaan menevät.

Leurs puissants ne se dressent pas sur leur hauteur, même tous ceux qui boivent de l'eau; car ils sont tous livrés à la mort, dans les parties inférieures de la terre, parmi les enfants des hommes, avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.''

C'est pourquoi aucun arbre arrosé d'eaux ne s'élève de sa hauteur, et ne produit de cime touffue, et les plus forts d'entre eux, même de tous ceux qui hument l'eau, ne subsistent point dans leur hauteur; car eux tous sont livrés à la mort dans la terre basse parmi les enfants des hommes, avec ceux qui descendent en la fosse.
C’est pour cette raison qu’aucun arbre planté sur les eaux ne s’élèvera dans sa hauteur, et il ne portera pas son sommet au milieu de rameaux touffus et feuillus, et aucun de ceux qui sont arrosés par les eaux ne se soutiendra dans son élévation, parce que tous ont été livrés à la mort, précipités au fond de la terre, au milieu des fils des hommes, avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.

Afin que nul des arbres qui croissent au bord des eaux ne se glorifiât de sa grandeur. Ils ont élevé leur cime au milieu des nues; mais ils ne se maintiendront pas en leur élévation; tous ces arbres, baignés des eaux, ont tous été donnés à la mort; ils iront tous au fond de la terre, au milieu des fils des hommes, avec ceux qui descendent à l'abîme.

daß kein Baum am Wasser ferner stolz auf seine Höhe sei und nicht emporstrecke den Wipfel zwischen Baumkronen, daß keiner, der dort Wasser trinkt, um ihre Höhe sie anfeinde. Sie alle sind zum Tode für die Unterwelt bestimmt, gerade so wie andre Menschen, die zur Grube wandern.'

auf daß keine Bäume am Wasser wegen ihres Wuchses sich überheben und ihren Wipfel bis zwischen die Wolken strecken, und keine Wassertrinkenden auf sich selbst sich stützen wegen ihrer Höhe; denn sie alle sind dem Tode hingegeben in die untersten Örter der Erde, mitten unter den Menschenkindern, zu denen hin, welche in die Grube hinabgefahren sind. -
damit keinerlei Bäume am Wasser wieder hoch an Wuchs würden und ihren Wipfel zwischen die Wolken streckten, und ihre gewaltigen nicht stolz daständen in ihrer Höhe, alle Wasser trinkenden. Denn sie alle sind dem Tode preisgegeben, daß sie hinab müssen in die Unterwelt, inmitten der Menschenkinder, zu den in die Gruft Hinabgestiegenen!

Auf daß nicht hoffärtig seien in ihrem Wuchse alle Bäume der Wasser, und ihren Wipfel nicht zwischen den dichten Gezweigen erheben, und nicht zu ihnen stehen wegen ihrer Höhe alle, die da Wasser trinken; denn sie alle werden dem Tode gegeben in die untere Erde inmitten der Menschensöhne, zu denen, die in die Grube hinabfahren.

διά να μη υψωθή εν τω ύψει αυτού ουδέν εκ των δένδρων των υδάτων μηδέ να σηκώσωσι την κορυφήν αυτών μεταξύ των πυκνών κλάδων, και εκ πάντων των πινόντων ύδωρ, ουδέν εκ τούτων να μη στέκηται εν τω ύψει αυτού· διότι πάντα παρεδόθησαν εις τον θάνατον, εις τα κατώτατα της γης, εν μέσω των υιών των ανθρώπων, μετά των καταβαινόντων εις λάκκον.

એવું બને કે પાણી પાસેનાં વૃક્ષો તથા પાણી પીનારાં સર્વ વૃક્ષોમાંના કોઈ પણ કદમાં ઊંચા ન થઈ જાય, પોતાની ટોચ વાદળ સુધી ના પહોંચાડે, કેમ કે પાણી પીનારા વૃક્ષ બીજા વૃક્ષ કરતાં કદી ઊંચે નહિ થાય. કેમ કે તેઓ બીજા મનુષ્યો સાથે કબરમાં ઊતરી જનારાઓના ભેગા મોતને અધોલોકને સ્વાધીન કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.”

यह इसलिए हुआ है कि जल के पास के सब वृक्षों में से कोई अपनी ऊँचाई न बढ़ाए, न अपनी फुनगी को बादलों तक पहुँचाए, और उनमें से जितने जल पाकर दृढ़ हो गए हैं वे ऊँचे होने के कारण सिर न उठाए; क्योंकि वे भी सब के सब कब्र में गड़े हुए मनुष्यों के समान मृत्यु के वश करके अधोलोक में डाल दिए जाएँगे।
इसलिये पानी के पास अब कोई दूसरा पेड़ घनी पत्तियों के बीच अपने सिर को उठाते हुए घमंड से ऊंचा न बढ़े. भरपूर पानी के पास का कोई दूसरा पेड़ ऐसा ऊंचा न हो; उन सबका मरना निश्चित है, उनकी जगह पृथ्वी के नीचे उन मरणहार लोगों के बीच है, जो मृतकों के राज्य में नीचे जा रहे हैं.

Semua itu terjadi supaya mulai saat ini, tak akan ada lagi pohon yang tumbuh setinggi itu; tak ada lagi puncak pohon yang mencapai awan meskipun mendapat air berlimpah-limpah. Semuanya harus mati seperti manusia yang fana, dan berkumpul dengan orang-orang yang telah turun ke dunia orang mati."
Semuanya ini terjadi supaya segala pohon yang di tepi air jangan meninggikan dirinya dan puncaknya jangan dijulurkan sampai ke langit dan supaya pohon-pohon besar, yaitu semua yang menghisap banyak air, jangan tetap berdiri di dalam kecongkakannya; sebab mereka semuanya telah diserahkan ke dalam maut, ke dalam bumi yang paling bawah, di tengah anak-anak manusia yang telah turun ke liang kubur.

Così è avvenuto affinché gli alberi tutti piantati presso alle acque non sian fieri della propria altezza, non sporgan più la vetta fra il folto de’ rami, e tutti gli alberi potenti che si dissetano alle acque non persistano nella loro fierezza; poiché tutti quanti son dati alla morte, alle profondità della terra, assieme ai figliuoli degli uomini, a quelli che scendon nella fossa.
是水の邊の樹その高のために誇ることなくその巓を雲に至らしむることなからんためまた水に濕ふ者の高らかに自ら立ことなからんためなり夫是等は皆死に付されて下の國に入り他の人々の中にあり墓に下る者等と偕なるべし
これは水のほとりのすべての木が、その高さのために誇ることなく、その頂を雲の中におくことなく、水に潤う木が、みずから高ぶり立つことのないためである。これらは皆、死に渡され、下の国に入り、穴に下る者と共に他の人々のうちにいる。

ನೀರಾವರಿಯ ಯಾವ ಮರಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಎತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ತುದಿಯನ್ನು ಮೋಡಗಳಿಗೆ ತಗುಲಿಸದೆ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೀರುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮರಗಳು ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಚಾಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರಲೆಂದು ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು, ಅವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಣದ ಪಾಲಾಗುವುವು. ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಧೋಲೋಕವೇ ಗತಿಯಾಗುವುದು, ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋದ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಜನ್ಮದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಸೇರುವುವು.
“ನೀರಾವರಿಯ ಯಾವ ಮರಗಳೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಎತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ತಮ್ಮ ತುದಿಯನ್ನು ಮೋಡಗಳಿಗೆ ತಗುಲಿಸದೆ, ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೀರುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವ ದೊಡ್ಡದೊಡ್ಡ ಮರಗಳು ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಚಾಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರಲೆಂದು ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು. ಅವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಣದ ಪಾಲಾಗುವುವು, ಅಧೋಲೋಕವೇ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಗತಿಯಾಗುವುದು; ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋದ ನರಜನ್ಮದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಸೇರುವವು.”
이는 물 가에 있는 모든 나무로 키가 높다고 교만치 못하게 하며 그 꼭대기로 구름에 닿지 못하게 하며 또 물 대임을 받는 능한 자로 스스로 높아 서지 못하게 함이니 그들을 다 죽는데 붙여서 인생 중 구덩이로 내려가는 자와 함께 지하로 내려가게 하였음이니라

Như thế, sẽ chẳng có cây của nước nào còn hân hoan kiêu ngạo trong phồn vinh của nó, dù nó vươn ngọn lên tận mây xanh và rễ đâm sâu xuống nước. Vì tất cả đều bị kết tội chết, cùng đi xuống vực sâu của đất. Chúng sẽ bị đẩy vào hồ chung với những kẻ khác trên đất.”
