Ezekiel 18:20
The soul who sins, he shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.

| أَمَّا النَّفْسُ الَّتِي تُخْطِئُ فَهِيَ تَمُوتُ. لاَ يُعَاقَبُ الابْنُ بِإِثْمِ أَبِيهِ وَلاَ الأَبُ بِإِثْمِ ابْنِهِ. يُكَافَأُ الْبَارُّ بِبِرِّهِ وَيُجَازَى الشِّرِّيرُ بِشَرِّهِ. |

যে পাপ করবে সেই মরবে। ছেলে বাবার দোষের জন্য শাস্তি পাবে না আর বাবাও ছেলের দোষের জন্য শাস্তি পাবে না। ধার্মিক ধার্মিকতার ফল পাবে আর দুষ্ট দুষ্টতার ফল পাবে।
