Exodus 32:1
When the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”

| وَلَمَّا رَأَى ٱلشَّعْبُ أَنَّ مُوسَى أَبْطَأَ فِي ٱلنُّزُولِ مِنَ ٱلْجَبَلِ، ٱجْتَمَعَ ٱلشَّعْبُ عَلَى هَارُونَ وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «قُمِ ٱصْنَعْ لَنَا آلِهَةً تَسِيرُ أَمَامَنَا، لِأَنَّ هَذَا مُوسَى ٱلرَّجُلَ ٱلَّذِي أَصْعَدَنَا مِنْ أَرْضِ مِصْرَ، لَا نَعْلَمُ مَاذَا أَصَابَهُ». |
| وَلَمَّا رَأَى الشَّعْبُ أَنَّ مُوسَى قَدْ طَالَتْ إقَامَتُهُ عَلَى الْجَبَلِ، اجْتَمَعُوا حَوْلَ هَرُونَ، وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «هَيَّا، اصْنَعْ لَنَا إِلَهاً يَتَقَدَّمُنَا فِي مَسِيرِنَا، لأَنَّنَا لاَ نَدْرِي مَاذَا أَصَابَ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ مُوسَى الَّذِي أَخْرَجَنَا مِنْ دِيَارِ مِصْرَ». |
Ժողովուրդը տեսնելով, որ Մովսէսն ուշացաւ լեռից իջնելու, հաւաքուեց Ահարոնի մօտ ու ասաց նրան. «Դե՛հ, մեզ առաջնորդող աստուածներ ստեղծի՛ր, որովհետեւ չգիտենք, թէ ինչ եղաւ այն մարդը՝ Մովսէսը, որ մեզ Եգիպտոսից դուրս բերեց»:
পৰ্ব্বতৰ পৰা নামি আহিবলৈ মোচিৰ পলম হোৱা দেখি, লোকসকলে হাৰোণৰ চাৰিওফালে গোট খাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “আহক, আমাৰ আগে আগে যাবৰ বাবে আমাৰ অৰ্থে এজন দেৱতা নিৰ্মাণ কৰোঁ। কিয়নো যি দেৱতবোৰে আমাক মিচৰ দেশৰ পৰা উলিয়াই আনিছিল, সেই মোচিৰ লগত কি হ’ল, সেই বিষয়ে আমি একো নাজানো।”

Toen het volk zag, dat Mozes vertoog van den berg af te komen, zo verzamelde zich het volk tot Aaron, en zij zeiden tot hem: Sta op, maak ons goden, die voor ons aangezicht gaan; want dezen Mozes, dien man, die ons uit Egypteland uitgevoerd heeft, wij weten niet, wat hem geschied zij.

So quickly, make us ([an idol/a statue of a god]) who will lead us!”

Cependant le peuple voyant le retard que mettait Moïse à descendre de la montagne, et s’étant assemblé contre Aaron, dit: Lève-toi, fais-nous des dieux qui nous précèdent; car pour Moïse, cet homme qui nous a retirés de la terre d’Egypte, nous ignorons ce qui lui est arrivé.

Dân sự thấy Môi-se ở trên núi chậm xuống, bèn nhóm lại chung quanh A-rôn mà nói rằng: Nào! hãy làm các thần để đi trước chúng tôi đi, vì về phần Môi-se nầy, là người đã dẫn chúng tôi ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô, chúng tôi chẳng biết điều chi đã xảy đến cho người rồi.
Ở dưới núi đợi mãi không thấy Môi-se xuống, dân chúng mới kéo nhau đến gặp A-rôn và nói: “Xin ông tạo ra một vị thần để hướng dẫn chúng tôi, vì Môi-se, người đã đem chúng tôi ra khỏi Ai Cập, nay chẳng biết ra sao.”
