Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

| فَمَدَّ مُوسَى عَصَاهُ عَلَى أَرْضِ مِصْرَ، فَأَرْسَلَ الرَّبُّ عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحاً شَرْقِيَّةً طَوَالَ ذَلِكَ النَّهَارِ وَاللَّيْلِ، وَمَا إِنْ أَقْبَلَ الصَّبَاحُ حَتَّى حَمَلَتِ الرِّيحُ الشَّرْقِيَّةُ الْجَرَادَ. |

তখন মোশি মিশর দেশের উপরে তাঁর লাঠি তুললেন, তাতে সদাপ্রভু সমস্ত দিন ও সমস্ত রাত দেশে পূর্ব দিকের বায়ু বহালেন; আর সকাল হলে পূর্ব দিকের বায়ু পঙ্গপাল উঠিয়ে আনল।
অতএব মোশি মিশর দেশের উপর তাঁর ছড়িটি বাড়িয়ে দিলেন, আর সদাপ্রভু সারাদিন ও সারারাত দেশে পূর্বীয় বাতাস বইতে দিলেন। সকাল হতে না হতেই সেই বাতাস ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে পঙ্গপাল নিয়ে এল;

મૂસાએ પોતાની લાકડીને મિસર દેશ પર ઊંચી કરી. યહોવાહે તે આખો દિવસ અને આખી રાત દરમ્યાન પૂર્વ તરફથી પવનનો મારો ચલાવ્યો અને સવાર થતાં સુધીમાં તો પૂર્વથી આવતો તોફાની પવન તીડોનાં ટોળેટોળાં લઈ આવ્યો.
