Ecclesiastes 5:18
Behold, that which I have seen to be good and proper is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor, in which he labors under the sun, all the days of his life which God has given him; for this is his portion.
Ja çfarë kuptova: është mirë dhe e përshtatshme për njeriun të hajë, të pijë dhe të gëzojë të mirën e gjithë mundit të tij nën diell, tërë ditët e jetës që Perëndia i jep, sepse kjo është pjesa e tij.
| هُوَذَا ٱلَّذِي رَأَيْتُهُ أَنَا خَيْرًا، ٱلَّذِي هُوَ حَسَنٌ: أَنْ يَأْكُلَ ٱلْإِنْسَانُ وَيَشْرَبَ وَيَرَى خَيْرًا مِنْ كُلِّ تَعَبِهِ ٱلَّذِي يَتْعَبُ فِيهِ تَحْتَ ٱلشَّمْسِ مُدَّةَ أَيَّامِ حَيَاتِهِ ٱلَّتِي أَعْطَاهُ ٱللهُ إِيَّاهَا، لِأَنَّهُ نَصِيبُهُ. |
| فَتَأَمَّلْ مَا وَجَدْتُ: مِنَ الأَفْضَلِ وَالأَلْيَقِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الإِنْسَانُ وَيَشْرَبَ وَيَسْتَمْتِعَ بِمَا تَكَبَّدَهُ مِنْ عَنَاءٍ تَحْتَ الشَّمْسِ طَوَالَ أَيَّامِ حَيَاتِهِ الْقَلِيلَةِ الَّتِي وَهَبَهَا اللهُ لَهُ، لأَنَّ هَذَا هُوَ حَظُّهُ. |
তাৰ পাছত মই উত্তম আৰু উপযুক্তভাৱে থাকিবৰ বাবে ইয়াকে বুজিব পাতিলোঁ: ঈশ্বৰে যি কেইটা দিন মানুহক জীয়াই থাকিবলৈ দিছে, সেই সকলো দিনত খোৱা-বোৱা কৰি থাকিবলৈ আৰু সূর্যৰ তলত কৰা সকলো পৰিশ্রমেৰে সৈতে সন্তুষ্ট উপভোগ কৰিবলৈ দিছে; কিয়নো এয়ে আমাৰ কার্য।
İnsan üçün mənim gördüyüm yaxşı və gözəl olan budur ki, o yeyib-içsin və Allahın ona verdiyi bir neçə günlük ömründə səma altında çəkdiyi bütün zəhmətlərindən zövq alsın, çünki ona düşən bəxşiş budur.

দেখ, যা আমি দেখেছি ভালো এবং উপযুক্ত তা হল খাওয়া আর পান করা এবং আমাদের সমস্ত কাজের লাভ থেকে আনন্দ উপভোগ করা, যেমন আমরা সূর্য্যের নিচে কাজ করেছি এই জীবনকালে যা ঈশ্বর আমাদের দিয়েছিলেন। কারণ এটা মানুষের কর্তব্য।
ভালো হলে কী হয় তা আমি লক্ষ্য করলাম ঈশ্বর সূর্যের নিচে মানুষকে যে কয়টা দিন বাঁচতে দিয়েছেন তাতে খাওয়াদাওয়া করা এবং কঠিন পরিশ্রমের মধ্যে তৃপ্ত হওয়াই তার পক্ষে ভালো এবং উপযুক্ত কারণ ওটিই তার পাওনা।

Hiti chu ahi vang'in, thilpha khat keiman kahin mudoh in ahi. Hichu mihem in nipi noija Pathen in apeh hinkho chomcha um sunga aneh’a, adon’a, chule anatoh chunga akipa thanop pia chule achan chunga alung lhai ding hi ahi.
Kai ni ka hmu e naw hateh, canei e, kanî rahim vah Cathut ni na poe e hringnae hoi hring yunglam kâyawm teh hawinae coe dawkvah lunghawikhai hanelah ao. Ahawi ngounh. Hot hateh tami hane doeh.
我所见为善为美的，就是人在 神赐他一生的日子吃喝，享受日光之下劳碌得来的好处，因为这是他的分。

Ovo, stoga, zaključujem: prava je sreća čovjeku jesti i piti i biti zadovoljan sa svim svojim trudom kojim se muči pod suncem za kratka vijeka koji mu je dao Bog, jer takva mu je sudbina dosuđena.

Behold, that which I have seen to be good and to be fitting is for a man to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor in which he labors under the sun all the days of his life which God has given him, for this is his portion.

But I observed that what is good and right is to eat, drink, and to find enjoyment in the work God gives us here in this life. This is God's gift to us.
Beholde then, what I haue seene good, that it is comely to eate, and to drinke, and to take pleasure in all his labour, wherein he traueileth vnder the sunne, the whole nomber of the dayes of his life, which God giueth him: for this is his portion.

So, the best thing for people to do here on the earth during the few years that God allows them to be alive is to eat and drink and to enjoy their work, because those are the things that God has given to them.
Look, what I have seen to be good and suitable is to eat and drink and to enjoy the gain from all our work, as we labor under the sun during the days of this life that God has given us. For this is man's assignment.

Ainsi donc il m’a paru bon qu’un homme mange et boive, et qu’il goûte la joie du travail dans lequel il s’est fatigué lui-même sous le soleil, durant le nombre des jours de sa vie que lui a donnés Dieu; car c’est là sa part.
Voici ce que j’ai vu: c’est pour l’homme une chose bonne et belle de manger et de boire, et de jouir du bien-être au milieu de tout le travail qu’il fait sous le soleil, pendant le nombre des jours de vie que Dieu lui a donnés; car c’est là sa part.

De même, quand Dieu a accordé à quelque homme des biens et des richesses, et lui a permis d'en jouir, et d'en prélever sa part, et d'avoir de la joie de son travail, c'est là un don de Dieu.
Voilà ce que j'ai vu de bien: c'est que l'homme mange et boive, et qu'il voie prospérer tout son labeur pour lequel il aura travaillé sous le soleil, tous les jours de sa vie que Dieu lui a donnés; car tel est son partage.
Or donc, ce que j’ai reconnu comme bon, comme convenable, c’est de manger et de boire, de jouir du bien-être dû à toutes les peines qu’on se donne sous le soleil, au cours de l’existence que Dieu nous octroie: c’est là notre lot.

Siehe, was ich für gut und für schön ansehe, ist das, daß einer esse und trinke und Gutes genieße bei all seiner Arbeit, womit er sich abmüht unter der Sonne alle Tage seines Lebens, welche Gott ihm gibt; denn das ist sein Teil.

Ιδού, τι είδον εγώ αγαθόν· είναι καλόν να τρώγη τις και να πίνη και να απολαμβάνη τα αγαθά όλου του κόπου αυτού, τον οποίον κοπιάζει υπό τον ήλιον, κατά τον αριθμόν των ημερών της ζωής αυτού, όσας έδωκεν ο Θεός εις αυτόν· διότι τούτο είναι η μερίς αυτού.
ἰδοὺ ὃ εἶδον ἐγὼ ἀγαθόν ὅ ἐστιν καλόν τοῦ φαγεῖν καὶ τοῦ πιεῖν καὶ τοῦ ἰδεῖν ἀγαθωσύνην ἐν παντὶ μόχθῳ αὐτοῦ ᾧ ἐὰν μοχθῇ ὑπὸ τὸν ἥλιον ἀριθμὸν ἡμερῶν ζωῆς αὐτοῦ ὧν ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ ὁ θεός ὅτι αὐτὸ μερὶς αὐτοῦ
જુઓ, મનુષ્ય માટે જે સારી અને શોભતી બાબત મેં જોઈ છે તે એ છે કે, ઈશ્વરે તેને આપેલા આયુષ્યના સર્વ દિવસોમાં ખાવું, પીવું અને દુનિયામાં જે સઘળો શ્રમ કરે છે તેમાં મોજમજા માણવી કેમ કે એ જ તેનો હિસ્સો છે.
