Deuteronomy 31:20
For when I have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.

| لأَنِّي حَالَمَا أُدْخِلُهُمْ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي تَفِيضُ لَبَناً وَعَسَلاً، هَذِهِ الأَرْضِ الَّتِي حَلَفْتُ أَنْ تَكُونَ لِآبَائِهِمْ، فَيَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْبَعُونَ وَيَسْمَنُونَ، فَإِنَّهُمْ يَسْعَوْنَ وَرَاءَ آلِهَةٍ أُخْرَى وَيَعْبُدُونَهَا وَيَزْدَرُونَ بِي نَاقِضِينَ عَهْدِي. |
কিয়নো, যি দেশ দিম বুলি মই তেওঁলোকৰ পূর্ব-পুৰুষসকলৰ আগত প্রতিজ্ঞা কৰিছিলোঁ, সেই গাখীৰ আৰু মধু বোৱা দেশলৈ যেতিয়া মই তেওঁলোকক লৈ যাম আৰু যেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে তৃপ্তিৰে ভোজন কৰি হৃষ্টপুষ্ট হ’ব, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে মোক তুচ্ছ কৰিব আৰু মোৰ নিয়মটি অগ্রাহ্য কৰি আন দেৱতাবোৰলৈ উলটি সেইবোৰৰ সেৱা পূজা কৰিব।

কারণ আমি যে দেশ দিতে তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের (পিতা) কাছে শপথ করেছি, সেই দুধ ও মধুপ্রবাহী দেশ তাদেরকে নিয়ে গেলে পর যখন তারা খেয়ে তৃপ্তি ও মোটা হবে, তখন অন্য দেবতাদের কাছে ফিরবে এবং তাদের সেবা করবে, আমাকে অবজ্ঞা করবে ও আমার নিয়ম ভাঙ্গবে।
তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে আমার শপথ করা সেই দুধ আর মধু প্রবাহী দেশে যখন আমি তাদের নিয়ে যাব আর যখন তারা পেট পুরে খেয়ে সুখে থাকবে তখন তারা আমাকে তুচ্ছ করে আমার বিধান ভেঙে অন্য দেবতাদের দিকে ফিরে তাদের সেবা করবে।

किनकि तिनीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूलाई दिन्छु भनी मैले प्रतिज्ञा गरेको दूध र मह बग्ने देशमा जब मैले तिनीहरूलाई ल्याएको हुने छु, र तिनीहरू खाएर तृप्त भएर मोटाएका हुने छन्, तब तिनीहरू अन्य देवताहरूकहाँ लागी तिनीहरूको सेवा गर्ने छन् र तिनीहरूले मेरो तिरस्कार गरी मेरो करार भङ्ग गर्ने छन् ।

କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ବିଷୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣ ନିକଟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଅଛୁ, ସେହି ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଓ ମଧୁ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଦେଶକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଇଗଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରି ତୃପ୍ତ ଓ ହୃଷ୍ଟପୁଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଫେରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସେବା କରିବେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରି ଆମ୍ଭ ନିୟମ ଲଙ୍ଘନ କରିବେ।
