He will make a firm covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. On the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate; and even to the decreed full end, wrath will be poured out on the desolate.”

সেই শাসক এক ‘সাতের’ জন্য অনেকের সঙ্গে নিয়ম স্থাপন করবে। কিন্তু সেই ‘সাতের’ মাঝে সে উৎসর্গ ও বলিদান প্রথা বন্ধ করে দেবে। এবং মন্দিরে ধ্বংস-আনয়নকারী সেই ঘৃণ্য বস্তু স্থাপন করবে, যতক্ষণ না পর্যন্ত শেষ সময় যা নির্ধারিত হয়েছিল, তার উপর ঘনিয়ে আসবে।”

Und man wird vielen den Bund schwer machen eine Woche lang und mitten in der Woche Schlacht und Speisopfer aufhören lassen, und auf der Zinne werden Greuel des Verwüsters aufgestellt, bis daß sich die bestimmte Vertilgung über die Verwüstung ergossen hat.
Er wird aber vielen den Bund bestärken eine Woche, und in der Hälfte der Woche das Schlachtopfer und Speiseopfer zu Ende bringen, und auf den Vogel der Scheusale die Verwüstung, und bis zur Vollendung und Entscheidung wird es sich ergießen über die Verwüstung.
