Because you saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what will happen hereafter. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”

കൈ തൊടാതെ ഒരു കല്ലു പൎവ്വതത്തിൽനിന്നു പറിഞ്ഞുവന്നു ഇരിമ്പും താമ്രവും കളിമണ്ണും വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും തകൎത്തുകളഞ്ഞതായി കണ്ടതിന്റെ താല്പൎയ്യമോ: മഹാദൈവം മേലാൽ സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു രാജാവിനെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സ്വപ്നം നിശ്ചയവും അൎത്ഥം സത്യവും ആകുന്നു.
പർവതത്തിൽനിന്ന് മനുഷ്യന്റെ കരസ്പർശം കൂടാതെ പൊട്ടിച്ചെടുത്ത ഒരു കല്ലു വന്ന് ഇരുമ്പിനെയും വെങ്കലത്തെയും കളിമണ്ണിനെയും വെള്ളിയെയും സ്വർണത്തെയും തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞതായി അങ്ങു കണ്ട ദർശനത്തിന്റെ അർഥം ഇതാണ്: “ഭാവിയിൽ സംഭവിക്കാനുള്ളത് വലിയവനായ ദൈവം അങ്ങയെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. സ്വപ്നം യാഥാർഥ്യവും അതിന്റെ വ്യാഖ്യാനം വിശ്വാസയോഗ്യവുമാണ്.”
