The woman of Tekoa said to the king, “My lord, O king, may the iniquity be on me, and on my father’s house; and may the king and his throne be guiltless.”

| فَأَجَابَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ: «لِيَقَعِ اللَّوْمُ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى بَيْتِ أَبِي، أَمَّا الْمَلِكُ وَعَرْشُهُ فَهُمَا بَرِيئَانِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَائِبَةٍ». |

পরে ঐ তকোয়ীয়া মহিলা রাজাকে বলল, “হে আমার প্রভু৷ হে মহারাজ৷ আমারই প্রতি ও আমার বাবার বংশের প্রতি এই অপরাধ পড়ুক; মহারাজ ও তাঁর সিংহাসন নির্দোষ হন৷”

तब तकोआ की उस स्त्री ने राजा से कहा, “हे मेरे प्रभु, हे राजा, दोष मुझी को और मेरे पिता के घराने ही को लगे; और राजा अपनी गद्दी समेत निर्दोष ठहरे।”
तकोआ निवासी उस स्त्री ने राजा से कहा, “महाराज, मेरे स्वामी, इसका दोष मुझ पर और मेरे पिता के वंश पर हो. महाराज और महाराज का सिंहासन इस विषय में निर्दोष रहेंगे.”
