Absalom her brother said to her, “Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now hold your peace, my sister. He is your brother. Do not take this thing to heart.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

| فَقَالَ لَهَا أَبْشَالُومُ أَخُوهَا: «هَلْ كَانَ أَمْنُونُ أَخُوكِ مَعَكِ؟ فَٱلْآنَ يَا أُخْتِي ٱسْكُتِي. أَخُوكِ هُوَ. لَا تَضَعِي قَلْبَكِ عَلَى هَذَا ٱلْأَمْرِ». فَأَقَامَتْ ثَامَارُ مُسْتَوْحِشَةً فِي بَيْتِ أَبْشَالُومَ أَخِيهَا. |
| وَعِنْدَمَا رَآهَا أَخُوهَا أَبْشَالُومُ سَأَلَهَا: «هَلِ اغْتَصَبَكِ أَمْنُونُ؟ اسْكُتِي الآنَ يَاأُخْتِي، فَإِنَّهُ أَخُوكِ وَلاَ تَحْمِلِي وِزْرَ هَذَا الأَمْرِ فِي قْلبِكِ». فَأَقَامَتْ ثَامَارُ فِي بَيْتِ أَخِيهَا أَبْشَالُومَ فِي عُزْلَةٍ وَحُزْنٍ. |
তাৰ পাছত তাইৰ ককায়েক অবচালোমে তাইক সুধিলে, “তোমাৰ ককাই অম্নোন তোমাৰ লগত আছিল নেকি? কিন্তু এতিয়া হে মোৰ ভনী, মনে মনে থাকা, সি তোমাৰ ককাই; এই কথাত বৰকৈ দুখ নকৰিবা।” তেতিয়াৰে পৰা তামাৰ বিষাদ মনেৰে নিজ ককাই অবচালোমৰ ঘৰত থাকিল।

তার দাদা অবশালোম তাকে বলল, “তোমার দাদা অম্নোন কি তোমার সঙ্গে ছিল? হে আমার বোন, আপাতত চুপচাপ থাকো; সে তো তোমারই দাদা। এটি নিয়ে মন খারাপ কোরো না।” সেই থেকে তামর এক নিঃসঙ্গ মহিলার মতো তার দাদা অবশালোমের বাসাতেই থাকতে শুরু করল।

Her brother Absalom found her and asked, “Has brother Amnon been with you? Keep quiet for the moment, my sister. He's your brother. Don't be so upset about it.” So Tamar lived as a ruined and abandoned woman in her brother Absalom's home.
And Absalom her brother sayd vnto her, Hath Amnon thy brother bene with thee? Now yet be still, my sister: he is thy brother: let not this thing grieue thine heart. So Tamar remayned desolate in her brother Absaloms house.
And Absalom her brother said unto her: 'Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but now hold thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; take not this thing to heart.' So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.

Wtedy jej brat Absalom zapytał ją: Czy twój brat Amnon był z tobą? [Ale] milcz, moja siostro. To twój brat. Nie bierz tego do serca. Tamar mieszkała więc w osamotnieniu w domu swego brata Absaloma.

At sinabi ni Absalom na kaniyang kapatid sa kaniya, Napasa iyo ba si Amnon na iyong kapatid? nguni't ngayo'y tumahimik ka, kapatid ko: siya'y iyong kapatid; huwag mong isapuso ang bagay na ito. Sa gayo'y si Thamar ay nagpighati sa bahay ng kaniyang kapatid na si Absalom.
Sinabi sa kaniya ng kapatid niyang si Absalom, “Kinasama mo ba si Amnon ang iyong kapatid? Pero ngayon manatiling tahimik, aking kapatid. Siya ay iyong kapatid. Huwag isapuso ang bagay na ito.” Kaya mag-isang nanatili si Tamar sa bahay ni Absalom na kaniyang kapatid.

இதைக் கேள்விப்பட்ட அவள் சகோதரன் அப்சலோம் அவளிடம் வந்து, “உன் சகோதரன் அம்னோன் உன்னுடன் உறவு கொண்டானா? ஆனாலும் என் சகோதரியே, இப்பொழுது அமைதியாயிரு. எப்படியாயினும் அவன் உன் சகோதரன் அல்லவா? அதைக்குறித்து மனம் வருந்தாதே” என்றான். தாமார் துயருற்றவளாய் தன் சகோதரன் அப்சலோம் வீட்டில் தங்கினாள்.
