2-Samuel 12:21
Then his servants said to him, “What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child was dead, you rose up and ate bread.”

| فَسَأَلَهُ رِجَالُ حَاشِيَتِهِ: «كَيْفَ تَتَصَرَّفُ هَكَذَا؟ عِنْدَمَا كَانَ الصَّبِيُّ حَيّاً صُمْتَ وَبَكَيْتَ، وَلَكِنْ مَا إِنْ مَاتَ حَتَّى قُمْتَ وَتَنَاوَلْتَ طَعَاماً؟» |
তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ দাসবোৰে তেওঁক ক’লে, “আপুনি এনে ব্যৱহাৰ কিয় কৰিছে? ল’ৰাটি জীয়াই থাকোঁতে আপুনি তাৰ বাবে লঘোন দি ক্ৰন্দন কৰিছিল, কিন্তু এতিয়া ল’ৰাটিৰ মৃত্যু হোৱাত আপুনি উঠি ভোজন কৰিলে?”

তখন তাঁর দাসরা তাঁকে বলল, “আপনি এ কেমন কাজ করলেন? ছেলেটা জীবিত থাকতে আপনি তার জন্য উপোস ও কাঁদছিলেন, কিন্তু ছেলেটা মারা যাবার পরই উঠে খাবার খেলেন৷”
তাঁর কর্মচারীরা তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “আপনি এরকম আচরণ করলেন কেন? শিশুটি যখন বেঁচে ছিল, তখন তো আপনি উপবাস করলেন ও কান্নাকাটিও করলেন, কিন্তু এখন শিশুটি যখন মারা গিয়েছে, আপনি উঠে ভোজনপান করলেন!”

臣仆问他说：“你所行的是什么意思？孩子活着的时候，你禁食哭泣；孩子死了，你倒起来吃饭。”

Zo zeiden zijn knechten tot hem: Wat is dit voor een ding, dat gij gedaan hebt? Om des levenden kinds wil hebt gij gevast en geweend; maar nadat het kind gestorven is, zijt gij opgestaan en hebt brood gegeten.
Zijn dienaren zeiden tot hem: Wat moet dat toch betekenen, wat gij doet? Zolang het kind in leven was, hebt gij gevast en geweend: zodra het gestorven is, staat gij op en gij eet.
Zo zeiden zijn knechten tot hem: Wat is dit voor een ding, dat gij gedaan hebt? Om des levenden kinds wil hebt gij gevast en geweend; maar nadat het kind gestorven is, zijt gij opgestaan en hebt brood gegeten.
Then his servants said to him, What thing is this that thou have done? Thou fasted and wept for the child while it was alive, but when the child was dead, thou arose and ate bread.
Then his servants said to him, “What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child was dead, you rose up and ate bread.”
Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
“What is this you have done?” his servants asked. “While the child was alive, you fasted and wept, but when he died, you got up and ate.”
Then his servants said to him, Why have you been acting in this way? you were weeping and going without food while the child was still living; but when the child was dead, you got up and had a meal.
And his servants said to him, What [is] this thing that thou hast done concerning the child? while it was yet living thou didst fast, and weep, and watch: and when the child was dead thou didst rise up, and didst eat bread, and drink.

But his servants said to him: “What is this word that you have done? You fasted and were weeping, on behalf of the infant, while he was still alive. But when the boy was dead, you arose and ate bread.”

“Why are you acting like this?” his officials asked him. “While the child was still alive, you fasted and cried aloud, but now that he's dead, you get up and eat.”

Then his servants said to him, “We do not understand [RHQ] why you have done this! While the baby was still alive, you cried for him and refused to eat anything. But now that the baby has died, [you are not crying any more!] You got up and ate some food!”

तब उसके कर्मचारियों ने उससे पूछा, “तूने यह क्या काम किया है? जब तक बच्चा जीवित रहा, तब तक तू उपवास करता हुआ रोता रहा; परन्तु जैसे ही बच्चा मर गया, वैसे ही तू उठकर भोजन करने लगा।”
इस पर सेवकों ने दावीद से पूछा, “हमें समझ नहीं आया आपने यह क्या किया? जब शिशु जीवित था आप भूखे रहे और रोते रहे, मगर जब शिशु की मृत्यु हो गई, आपने उठकर भोजन किया!”
