तब जो याजक सामरिया से निकाले गए थे, उनमें से एक जाकर बेतेल में रहने लगा, और उनको सिखाने लगा कि यहोवा का भय किस रीति से मानना चाहिये।

അങ്ങനെ ശമര്യയിൽനിന്ന് പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കുപോയ പുരോഹിതന്മാരിൽ ഒരാൾ ബേഥേലിൽ പാർക്കുന്നതിനായി തിരിച്ചുവന്നു. യഹോവയെ ആരാധിക്കേണ്ടതെങ്ങനെയെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു.
