2-Kings 17:15
They rejected his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified to them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the LORD had commanded them that they should not do like them.
Dhe hodhën poshtë statutet dhe besëlidhjen që ai kishte lidhur me etërit e tyre dhe paralajmërimet që u kishte dhënë. Prandaj ndoqën gjëra të kota duke u bërë ata vetë mendjelehtë dhe shkuan pas kombeve që i rrethonin, që Zoti i kishte ndaluar t’i imitonin.
| وَرَفَضُوا فَرَائِضَهُ وَعَهْدَهُ ٱلَّذِي قَطَعَهُ مَعَ آبَائِهِمْ وَشَهَادَاتِهِ ٱلَّتِي شَهِدَ بِهَا عَلَيْهِمْ، وَسَارُوا وَرَاءَ ٱلْبَاطِلِ، وَصَارُوا بَاطِلًا وَرَاءَ ٱلْأُمَمِ ٱلَّذِينَ حَوْلَهُمُ، ٱلَّذِينَ أَمَرَهُمُ ٱلرَّبُّ أَنْ لَا يَعْمَلُوا مِثْلَهُمْ. |
| وَتَنَكَّرُوا لِفَرَائِضِهِ وَعَهْدِهِ الَّذِي أَبْرَمَهُ مَعَ آبَائِهِمْ، وَتَجَاهَلُوا تَحْذِيرَاتِهِ وَنَوَاهِيَهُ لَهُمْ، وَضَلُّوا وَرَاءَ أَصْنَامٍ بَاطِلَةٍ، فَأَصْبَحُوا هُمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ بَاطِلِينَ، وَتَمَثَّلُوا بِالأُمَمِ الَّذِينَ حَوْلَهُمْ، مَعَ أَنَّ الرَّبَّ أَمَرَهُمْ أَلاَّ يَفْعَلُوا مِثْلَهُمْ، وَارْتَكَبُوا أُمُوراً نَهَاهُمُ الرَّبُّ عَنْهَا، |
তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ বিধিবোৰ, তেওঁলোকৰ পূর্বপুৰুষসকলৰ সৈতে স্থাপন কৰা তেওঁৰ বিধান আৰু তেওঁলোকক দিয়া তেওঁৰ সাৱধান বাণী মানিবলৈ অস্বীকাৰ কৰিছিল। তেওঁলোকে অসাৰ মূর্তিবোৰৰ পাছত চলি নিজেও অসাৰ হৈ পৰিছিল। যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকক যি লোক সমূহৰ দৰে চলিবলৈ নিষেধ কৰিছিল, তেওঁলোকে নিজৰ চাৰিওফালে থকা সেই জাতি সমূহৰ দৰেই চলিছিল।
Onun qanunlarını, ataları ilə bağladığı əhdini və onlara etdiyi xəbərdarlıqları rədd etmişdilər. Boş şey dalınca gedib boş adamlar olmuşdular. Rəbb «ətrafınızdakı millətlər kimi etməyin» deyib əmr etdiyi halda onlar kimi davranmışdılar.

তাঁর সেই বিধিবিধান ও পবিত্র নিয়ম তারা প্রত্যাখ্যান করল, যা তিনি তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের দিলেন এবং সেই ঐশ্বরিক বিধানও তারা অগ্রাহ্য করল, যা পালন করার জন্য তিনি তাদের সতর্ক করে দিলেন। তারা অযোগ্য সব প্রতিমার অনুগামী হল এবং নিজেরাও অযোগ্য হয়ে পড়েছিল। তারা তাদের চারপাশে থাকা জাতিদের অনুকরণ করল, যদিও সদাপ্রভু তাদের আদেশ দিলেন, “তোমরা তাদের মতো কাজকর্ম কোরো না।”

Prezreli su njegove zakone i Savez koji je sklopio s njihovim ocima i opomene njegove koje im je upućivao. Težili su za ispraznošću, pa su i sami postali isprazni slijedeći narode oko sebe, premda im je Jahve zapovjedio da ne čine kao oni.

Daartoe verwierpen zij Zijn inzettingen, en Zijn verbond, dat Hij met hun vaderen gemaakt had, en Zijn getuigenissen, die Hij tegen hen betuigd had, en wandelden de ijdelheid na, dat zij ijdel werden, en achter de heidenen, die rondom hen waren, van dewelke de HEERE hun geboden had, dat zij niet zouden doen gelijk die.
Zij stoorden zich niet aan zijn geboden, evenmin als aan het verbond, dat Hij met hun vaderen gesloten had, en verachtten de vermaningen, die Hij hun gaf. Zo zijn ze nietigheden gaan dienen, om zelf tot niet te vervallen, evenals de heidenen, die hen omringden, ofschoon Jahweh hun verboden had te doen, zoals zij.

They rejected Yahweh’s laws and the agreement that he had made with their ancestors. They ignored Yahweh’s warnings. They worshiped worthless idols and as a result they themselves became worthless. Although Yahweh had commanded them not to imitate the evil behavior of the people-groups that lived near them, they disobeyed that command.
