The LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. Jotham, the king’s son, was over the household, judging the people of the land.

| وَابْتَلَى الرَّبُّ عَزَرْيَا بِدَاءِ الْبَرَصِ إِلَى يَوْمِ وَفَاتِهِ، مِمَّا أَرْغَمَهُ عَلَى الإِقَامَةِ فِي بَيْتٍ مُنْعَزِلٍ، فَتَوَلَّى ابْنُهُ يُوثَامُ حُكْمَ الشَّعْبِ بِالنِّيَابَةِ عَنْهُ. |

યહોવાહ રાજા પર દુઃખ લાવ્યા, તે તેના મરણના દિવસ સુધી કુષ્ઠ રોગી રહ્યો અને અલગ ઘરમાં રહ્યો. રાજાનો દીકરો યોથામ, ઘરનો ઉપરી થઈને દેશના લોકો પર શાસન કરતો હતો.

यहोवा ने उस राजा को ऐसा मारा, कि वह मरने के दिन तक कोढ़ी रहा, और अलग एक घर में रहता था। योताम नामक राजपुत्र उसके घराने के काम पर अधिकारी होकर देश के लोगों का न्याय करता था।
