They gathered their brothers, sanctified themselves, and went in, according to the commandment of the king by the LORD’s words, to cleanse the LORD’s house.

| وَجَمَعُوا أَقْرِبَاءَهُمُ اللاَّوِيِّينَ، وَتَقَدَّسُوا، وَبَدَأُوا يُطَهِّرُونَ الْهَيْكَلَ بِمُوْجِبِ أَمْرِ الْمَلِكِ، وَكَمَا نَصَّتْ عَلَيْهِ شَرِيعَةُ الرَّبِّ. |

তারা তাদের সমগোত্রীয় লেবীয়দের এক স্থানে একত্রিত করল ও ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে নিজেদের উৎসর্গও করল। পরে তারা রাজার আদেশানুসারে, সদাপ্রভুর কথার বাধ্য হয়ে সদাপ্রভুর মন্দিরটিও শুচিশুদ্ধ করতে গেল।
