All the assembly made a covenant with the king in God’s house. Jehoiada said to them, “Behold, the king’s son must reign, as the LORD has spoken concerning the sons of David.

| فَأَقْسَمَ كُلُّ الْمَجْمَعِ يَمِينَ الْوَلاَءِ لِلْمَلِكِ فِي هَيْكَلِ اللهِ، وَقَالَ لَهُمْ يَهُويَادَاعُ: «هُوَذَا ابْنُ الْمَلِكِ يَحْكُمُ، كَمَا وَعَدَ الرَّبُّ ذُرِّيَّةَ دَاوُدَ. |

उस सारी मण्डली ने परमेश्वर के भवन में राजा के साथ वाचा बाँधी, और यहोयादा ने उनसे कहा, “सुनो, यह राजकुमार राज्य करेगा जैसे कि यहोवा ने दाऊद के वंश के विषय कहा है।
तब परमेश्वर के भवन में इन सभी ने राजा के साथ वाचा बांधी. पुरोहित यहोयादा ने इन सबको संबोधित करते हुए कहा, “यह देख लीजिए कि शासन राजकुमार ही करेगा, क्योंकि यह दावीद के वंशजों के बारे में की गई याहवेह की भविष्यवाणी के अनुसार है.
