فَشَاهَدَتِ الْمَلِكَ مُنْتَصِباً عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ فِي الْمَدْخَلِ، مُحَاطاً بِالرُّؤَسَاءِ وَنَافِخِي الأَبْوَاقِ، وَقَدْ غَمَرَ الْفَرَحُ شَعْبَ الأَرْضِ، الَّذِي امْتَزَجَتْ هُتَافَاتُهُ بِنَفْخِ الأَبْوَاقِ وَغِنَاءِ الْمُغَنِّينَ الْعَازِفِينَ عَلَى الآلاَتِ الْمُوسِيقِيَّةِ وَتَسْبِيحِ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ، فَشَقَّتْ عَثَلْيَا ثِيَابَهَا وَصَاحَتْ: «خِيَانَةٌ! خِيَانَةٌ!»
