A letter came to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, “the LORD, the God of David your father, says, ‘Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat your father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,

| وَتَسَلَّمَ خِطَاباً مِنْ إِيلِيَّا النَّبِيِّ وَرَدَ فِيهِ: «هَذَا مَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ دَاوُدَ أَبِيكَ: لأَنَّكَ لَمْ تَسْلُكْ فِي نَهْجِ يَهُوشَافَاطَ أَبِيكَ، وَلاَ فِي طُرُقِ آسَا مَلِكِ يَهُوذَا، |
পাছত যিহোৰামলৈ এলিয়া ভাববাদীৰ পৰা এখন পত্ৰ আহিল৷ তাত এইদৰে কৈছিল, “তোমাৰ ওপৰ পিতৃ দায়ূদৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: তুমি তোমাৰ পিতৃ যিহোচাফটৰ পথত বা যিহূদাৰ আচা ৰজাৰ পথত নচলিলা,

Zo kwam een schrift tot hem van den profeet Elia, zeggende: Alzo zegt de HEERE, de God van uw vader David: Omdat gij in de wegen van uw vader Josafat, en in de wegen van Asa, den koning van Juda, niet gewandeld hebt;
Daarom ontving hij het volgend schrijven van den profeet Elias: Zo spreekt Jahweh, de God van uw vader David! Omdat ge het voorbeeld van uw vader Josafat en dat van uw vader Asa, den koning van Juda, niet hebt gevolgd,

And there was a letter brought him from Elias the prophet, in which it was written: Thus saith the Lord the God of David thy father: Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Josaphat thy father nor in the ways of Asa king of Juda,
Jehoram received a letter from Elijah the prophet that said, “This is what the Lord, the God of David your forefather says, ‘You have not followed the ways of your father Jehoshaphat, or Asa, king of Judah,
And there came a writing to him from Elijah the Prophet, saying, Thus sayth the Lord God of Dauid thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the wayes of Iehoshaphat thy father, nor in the wayes of Asa King of Iudah,

One day, Jehoram received a letter from the prophet Elijah. Elijah had written this in the letter: “This is what Yahweh, the God whom your ancestor [King] David [worshiped], says: 'You have not done things that please me like your father Jehoshaphat did or what King Asa did.
A letter from the prophet Elijah came to Jehoram. It said, “This is what Yahweh, the God of David, your ancestor, says: Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat, your father, nor in the ways of Asa, king of Judah,

Da gelangte eine Schrift von Elia, dem Propheten, an ihn, welche lautete: So spricht Jehova, der Gott deines Vaters David: Darum, daß du nicht auf den Wegen deines Vaters Josaphat und auf den Wegen Asas, des Königs von Juda, gewandelt hast,

Και ήλθε προς αυτόν έγγραφον παρά του Ηλία του προφήτου, λέγον, Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός του Δαβίδ του πατρός σου· Επειδή δεν περιεπάτησας εν ταις οδοίς Ιωσαφάτ του πατρός σου και εν ταις οδοίς του Ασά βασιλέως του Ιούδα,
καὶ ἦλθεν αὐτῷ ἐγγραφὴ παρὰ Ηλιου τοῦ προφήτου λέγων τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρός σου ἀνθ’ ὧν οὐκ ἐπορεύθης ἐν ὁδῷ Ιωσαφατ τοῦ πατρός σου καὶ ἐν ὁδοῖς Ασα βασιλέως Ιουδα
એલિયા પ્રબોધક તરફથી યહોરામ ઉપર એક એવો પત્ર આવ્યો કે, “તારા પિતા દાઉદના પ્રભુ, ઈશ્વર કહે છે: તું તારા પિતા યહોશાફાટને માર્ગે કે યહૂદિયાના રાજા આસાને માર્ગે ન ચાલતાં,
Se konsa Joram resevwa yon lèt pwofèt Eli te voye ba li. Nan lèt la pwofèt la di: -Men sa Seyè a, Bondye David, zansèt w'a a, voye di ou: Ou pa swiv egzanp Jozafa, papa ou, ni egzanp Asa, granpapa ou.
