For the Levites left their pasture lands and their possessions, and came to Judah and Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and his sons cast them off, that they should not execute the priest’s office to the LORD.

| بَعْدَ أَنْ هَجَرُوا مَرَاعِيَهُمْ وَأَمْلاكَهُمْ وَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَى يَهُوذَا وَأُورُشَلِيمَ لأَنَّ يَرُبْعَامَ وَأَبْنَاءَهُ مَنَعُوهُمْ مِنَ الْقِيَامِ بِخِدْمَةِ عِبَادَةِ الرَّبِّ، |

લેવીઓ પોતાના ગોચર અને મિલકત મૂકીને યહૂદિયા અને યરુશાલેમ આવ્યા હતા કેમ કે યરોબામે અને તેના દીકરાઓએ તેઓને નસાડી મૂક્યા હતા કે જેથી તેઓ ઈશ્વર માટે યાજકની જવાબદારી બજાવી ન શકે.
