وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ حِينَذَاكَ يُدْعَى الرَّائِيَ، فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ ذِهَابِهِ لِيَسْتَشِيرَ الرَّبَّ: «هَيَّا نَذْهَبْ إِلَى الرَّائِي»

(Thuở xưa, trong Y-sơ-ra-ên, hễ người ta đi cầu vấn Ðức Chúa Trời, thì thường nói rằng: Chúng ta hãy đi tìm người tiên kiến; vì người mà thiên hạ ngày nay gọi là tiên tri, ngày xưa gọi là người tiên kiến).
(Thuở ấy, người Ít-ra-ên vẫn gọi tiên tri là tiên kiến. Vì vậy, khi thỉnh ý Đức Chúa Trời, người ta nói: “Hãy đi cầu hỏi vị tiên kiến.”)
