They gathered together to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, “We have sinned against the LORD.” Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah.

| فَاجْتَمَعُوا فِي الْمِصْفَاةِ حَيْثُ اسْتَقَوْا مَاءً وَسَكَبُوهُ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ، وَصَامُوا فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ قَائِلِينَ هُنَاكَ: «قَدْ أَخْطَأْنَا إِلَى الرَّبِّ». وَكَانَ صَمُوئِيلُ يَقْضِي لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الْمِصْفَاةِ. |
তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে মিস্পাত গোট খালে আৰু পানী তুলি যিহোৱাৰ আগত ঢালি দিলে। সেই দিনা লঘোন দি সেই ঠাইতে ক’লে, “আমি যিহোৱাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে পাপ কৰিলোঁ।” এইদৰে চমূৱেলে মিস্পাত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলৰ বিচাৰ কৰিলে।

[To show that they were sorry for having worshiped idols], they did not eat any food on that day, and they confessed that they had sinned against Yahweh.

Da kamen sie zusammen gen Mizpa und schöpften Wasser und gossen es aus vor dem HERRN und fasteten am selben Tag und sprachen daselbst: Wir haben gegen den HERRN gesündigt! Also richtete Samuel die Kinder Israel zu Mizpa.
