As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines came near to battle against Israel; but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day on the Philistines and confused them; and they were struck down before Israel.

চমূৱেলে হোমবলি উৎসৰ্গ কৰোঁতে, পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে ইস্ৰায়েলক আক্ৰমণ কৰিবলৈ ওচৰ চাপি আহিছিল; কিন্তু সেইদিনা যিহোৱাই ফিলিষ্টীয়া সকলৰ ওপৰত উচ্চ-ধ্ৱনিৰে মেঘ-গৰ্জ্জন কৰি ব্যাকুল কৰিলে; তাতে তেওঁলোক ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্মুখত পতিত হ’ল।

যে দিনের শমূয়েল ঐ হোমবলি উৎসর্গ করছিলেন, তখন পলেষ্টীয়েরা ইস্রায়েলীয়দের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করবার জন্য এগিয়ে আসল। কিন্তু সেই দিন সদাপ্রভু পলেষ্টীয়দের উপরে বাজ পড়বার মত ভীষণ শব্দে গর্জন করে তাদের ব্যাকুল করলেন; তাতে তারা ইস্রায়েলের সামনে আহত হল।

Und während Samuel das Brandopfer darbrachte, näherten sich die Philister zum Streit wider Israel; aber an demselben Tage donnerte der HERR mit gewaltiger Stimme wider die Philister und verwirrte sie, so daß sie vor Israel geschlagen wurden.
