| وَتَوَجَّهَتِ الْعَرَبَةُ إِلَى حَقْلِ رَجُلٍ اسْمُهُ يَهُوشَعُ الْبَيْتِشَمْسِيُّ، وَوَقَفَتْ بِجِوَارِ حَجَرٍ كَبِيرٍ. فَشَقَّ أَهْلُ بَيْتِ شَمْسَ خَشَبَ الْعَرَبَةِ وَذَبَحُوا الْبَقَرَتَيْنِ وَقَدَّمُوهُمَا مُحْرَقَةً لِلرَّبِّ. |

गाड़ी यहोशू नामक एक बेतशेमेशी के खेत में जाकर वहाँ ठहर गई, जहाँ एक बड़ा पत्थर था। तब उन्होंने गाड़ी की लकड़ी को चीरा और गायों को होमबलि करके यहोवा के लिये चढ़ाया।
वाहन यहोशू के खेत की ओर बढ़ रहा था. यहोशू बेथ-शेमेश के ही वासी थे. वाहन वहीं एक बड़ी चट्टान के निकट ठहर गया. उन्होंने वाहन की लकड़ियां काट डालीं तथा उन गायों को याहवेह के लिए अग्निबलि बना भेंटकर दिया.
