all the valiant men arose, went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth Shan; and they came to Jabesh and burned them there.

তখন সমস্ত শক্তিশালী লোক উঠল এবং সমস্ত রাত হেঁটে গিয়ে শৌলের ও তাঁর ছেলেদের শরীর বৈৎ-শানের দেওয়াল থেকে নামাল, আর যাবেশে এসে সেখানে তাঁদের মৃতদেহ পুড়িয়ে দিল৷
তখন সেখানকার বীরপুরুষরা রাতারাতি কুচকাওয়াজ করে বেথ-শানে পৌঁছে গেল। তারা বেথ-শানের প্রাচীর থেকে শৌল ও তাঁর ছেলেদের শবগুলি নামিয়ে এনে যাবেশে ফিরে গেল, ও সেখানে তারা সেগুলি পুড়িয়ে দিল।

καὶ ἀνέστησαν πᾶς ἀνὴρ δυνάμεως καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὅλην τὴν νύκτα καὶ ἔλαβον τὸ σῶμα Σαουλ καὶ τὸ σῶμα Ιωναθαν τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τείχους Βαιθσαν καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτοὺς εἰς Ιαβις καὶ κατακαίουσιν αὐτοὺς ἐκεῖ
ત્યારે સઘળા બહાદુર પુરુષો ઊઠીને આખી રાત ચાલ્યા અને બેથ-શાનના કોટ પરથી શાઉલના મૃતદેહને તથા તેના દીકરાઓના મૃતદેહને તેઓ યાબેશમાં લઈ આવ્યા. ત્યાં તેઓએ તેને અગ્નિદાહ દીધો.
