1-Kings 20:39
As the king passed by, he cried to the king, and he said, “Your servant went out into the middle of the battle; and behold, a man came over and brought a man to me, and said, ‘Guard this man! If by any means he is missing, then your life shall be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’

| وَعِنْدَمَا اجْتَازَ أَخْآبُ أَمَامَهُ نَادَاهُ وَقَالَ: «خَرَجَ عَبْدُكَ فِي أَثْنَاءِ اشْتِدَادِ الْمَعْرَكَةِ، وَإِذَا بِرَجُلٍ أَقْبَلَ إِلَيَّ بِأَسِيرٍ، وَقَالَ: احْرُسْ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ، وَإِنْ فُقِدَ تَكُونُ نَفْسُكَ عِوَضَ نَفْسِهِ، أَوْ تَدْفَعُ وَزْنَةً مِنَ الفِضَّةِ (نَحْوَ سِتَّةٍ وَثَلاَثِينَ كِيلُوجْرَاماً) |

І сталося, цар прохо́див, а він кричав до царя й говорив: „Раб твій ввійшов у сере́дину бою. Аж ось один чоловік відійшов, і підвів до мене мужа й сказав: Пильнуй цього мужа! Якщо його не стане, то буде твоє життя замість його життя, або відважиш тала́нта срібла.
जैसे ही बादशाह उधर से गुज़रा, उसने बादशाह की दुहाई दी और कहा कि “तेरा ख़ादिम जंग होते में वहाँ चला गया था; और देख, एक शख़्स उधर मुड़कर एक आदमी को मेरे पास ले आया, और कहा कि “इस आदमी की हिफ़ाज़त कर; अगर यह किसी तरह ग़ायब हो जाए, तो उसकी जान के बदले तेरी जान जाएगी, और नहीं तो तुझे एक क़िन्तार' चाँदी देनी पड़ेगी।
| پادىشاھ شۇ يەردىن ئۆتكەندە ئۇ پادىشاھنى چاقىرىپ: ــ كەمىنىلىرى كەسكىن جەڭ مەيدانىغا چىققانىدىم، ۋە مانا، بىر ئادەم ماڭا بۇرۇلۇپ، بىر كىشىنى تاپشۇرۇپ: «بۇ كىشىگە چىڭ قارىغىن، ھەرقانداق سەۋەبتىن ئۇ يوقاپ كەتسە، سەن ئۆز جېنىڭنى ئۇنىڭ جېنىنىڭ ئورنىغا تۆلەيسەن؛ بولمىسا بىر تالانت كۈمۈش تۆلەيسەن»، دېدى. |
Падиша шу йәрдин өткәндә у падишани чақирип: — Кәминилири кәскин җәң мәйданиға чиққан едим, вә мана, бир адәм маңа бурулуп, бир кишини тапшуруп: «Бу кишигә чиң қариғин, һәр қандақ сәвәптин у йоқап кәтсә, сән өз җениңни униң җениниң орниға төләйсән; болмиса бир талант күмүч төләйсән», деди.
Padishah shu yerdin ötkende u padishahni chaqirip: — Keminiliri keskin jeng meydanigha chiqqanidim, we mana, bir adem manga burulup, bir kishini tapshurup: «Bu kishige ching qarighin, herqandaq sewebtin u yoqap ketse, sen öz jéningni uning jénining ornigha töleysen; bolmisa bir talant kümüsh töleysen», dédi.
Padixaⱨ xu yǝrdin ɵtkǝndǝ u padixaⱨni qaⱪirip: — Kǝminiliri kǝskin jǝng mǝydaniƣa qiⱪⱪanidim, wǝ mana, bir adǝm manga burulup, bir kixini tapxurup: «Bu kixigǝ qing ⱪariƣin, ⱨǝrⱪandaⱪ sǝwǝbtin u yoⱪap kǝtsǝ, sǝn ɵz jeningni uning jenining orniƣa tɵlǝysǝn; bolmisa bir talant kümüx tɵlǝysǝn», dedi.
Khi vua đi ngang qua, người cất tiếng la lên, và nói với vua rằng: Tôi tớ vua ở giữa chiến trận; thì có người dẫn đến cùng tôi một kẻ phu tù, và biểu rằng: Hãy giữ người này; xảy nó thoát khỏi, thì mạng sống ngươi sẽ thường cho mạng sống nó, hay là ngươi phải thường một ta lâng bạc.

Khi vua đi qua, tiên tri nói lớn tiếng cho vua nghe: “Lúc tôi ở trong chiến trận, có một người lính giao cho tôi giữ một tù binh và dặn: ‘Giữ người này. Nếu để cho nó chạy thoát, anh phải đền mạng hay thường năm lượng vàng.’
Bí ọba sì ti ń rékọjá, wòlíì náà ké sí i, ó sì wí pé, “Ìránṣẹ́ rẹ jáde wọ àárín ogun lọ, ẹnìkan sì wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ mi pẹ̀lú ìgbèkùn kan, ó sì wí pé, ‘Pa ọkùnrin yìí mọ́. Bí a bá fẹ́ ẹ kù, ẹ̀mí rẹ yóò lọ dípò ẹ̀mí rẹ̀, tàbí kí ìwọ san tálẹ́ǹtì fàdákà kan.’
