এদিকে ইস্রায়েলীয়দের জড়ো করা হল। তাদের খাবার জোগান দেবার ব্যবস্থা করা হলে পর তারাও অরামীয়দের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করবার জন্য বেরিয়ে গেল। ইস্রায়েলীয়েরা অরামীয়দের সামনের দিকে দুটি ছাগলের পালের মত ছাউনি ফেলল। কিন্তু অরামীয়েরা গোটা দেশটা জুড়ে থাকল।
ইস্রায়েলীদেরও যখন একত্রিত করে সবকিছুর জোগান দেওয়া হল, তারা কুচকাওয়াজ করে অরামীয়দের সম্মুখীন হতে গেল। ইস্রায়েলীরা ছোটো দুটি ছাগপালের মতো তাদের বিপরীত দিকে শিবির স্থাপন করল, অন্যদিকে অরামীয়দের দ্বারা গ্রামাঞ্চলের সম্পূর্ণ এলাকা ঢাকা পড়ে গেল।

ઇઝરાયલી લોકો ભેગા થઈને ભાતું લઈને તેઓની સામે લડ્યા. ઇઝરાયલી લોકોએ તેઓની આગળ લવારાંની બે નાની ટોળીઓની માફક છાવણી કરી, પણ અરામીઓ તો સમગ્ર પ્રદેશમાં ફેલાઈ ગયા હતા.
