So he departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. Elijah went over to him and put his mantle on him.

| فَانْطَلَقَ إِيلِيَّا مِنْ هُنَاكَ فَوَجَدَ أَلِيشَعَ بْنَ شَافَاطَ يَحْرُثُ حَقْلاً، وَأَمَامَهُ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ زَوْجاً مِنَ الْبَقَرِ، وَهُوَ يَسِيرُ خَلْفَ الزَّوْجِ الثَّانِي عَشَرَ. فَمَرَّ بِهِ إِيلِيَّا وَطَرَحَ عَلَيْهِ رِدَاءَهُ، |

И тъй, Илия тръгна от там и намери Елисея Сафатовия син, който ореше с дванадесет двойки волове пред себе си; и сам бе с дванадесетата; и Илия мина към него и хвърли кожуха си върху него.

Elijah went to Elisha, and took off his own coat and put it on Elisha, [to show Elisha that he wanted him to take his place as a prophet. Then he started to walk away].
So Elijah left from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he himself was plowing with the twelfth yoke. Elijah walked over to Elisha and draped his cloak on him.

Και αναχωρήσας εκείθεν, εύρηκε τον Ελισσαιέ τον υιόν του Σαφάτ, ενώ ώργονε με δώδεκα ζεύγη βοών έμπροσθεν αυτού, αυτός ων εις το δωδέκατον· και επέρασεν ο Ηλίας από πλησίον αυτού και έρριψεν επ' αυτόν την μηλωτήν αυτού.
