तब यहोवा की आग आकाश से प्रगट हुई और होमबलि को लकड़ी और पत्थरों और धूलि समेत भस्म कर दिया, और गड्ढे में का जल भी सूखा दिया।
यह पूरा होते ही याहवेह द्वारा भेजी गई आग गिरी! उससे होमबलि, लकड़ियां, पत्थर और धूल, सभी कुछ भस्म हो गया, और आग नाली में भरा जल चट कर गई.
