1-Kings 18:21
Elijah came near to all the people, and said, “How long will you waver between the two sides? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” The people did not say a word.

| فَتَقَدَّمَ إِيلِيَّا إِلَى جَمِيعِ ٱلشَّعْبِ وَقَالَ: «حَتَّى مَتَى تَعْرُجُونَ بَيْنَ ٱلْفِرْقَتَيْنِ؟ إِنْ كَانَ ٱلرَّبُّ هُوَ ٱللهَ فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ ٱلْبَعْلُ فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ». فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ ٱلشَّعْبُ بِكَلِمَةٍ. |
| فَخَاطَبَ إِيلِيَّا الشَّعْبَ: «حَتَّى مَتَى تَظَلُّونَ تَعْرُجُونَ بَيْنَ الْفِرْقَتَيْنِ؟ إِنْ كَانَ الرَّبُّ هُوَ اللهَ فَاتْبَعُوهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْبَعْلُ هُوَ اللهَ فَاتْبَعُوهُ». فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ الشَّعْبُ بِكَلِمَةٍ. |
এলিয়াই লোক সকলৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি ক’লে, “তোমোলোকে কিমান কাললৈকে তোমালোকৰ মন সলনি কৰি থকিবা? যিহোৱা যদি ঈশ্বৰ হয়, তেন্তে তেওঁৰ পাছত চলা; কিন্তু বাল যদি ঈশ্বৰ হয়, তেন্তে তাৰে পাছত চলা।” কিন্তু লোকসকলে তেওঁক কোনো উত্তৰ নিদিলে।
İlyas bütün xalqın yanına gəlib dedi: «Nə vaxta qədər iki tərəfə əyiləcəksiniz? Əgər Rəbb Allahdırsa, Ona xidmət edin, yox, Baal Allahdırsa, onda ona xidmət edin». Xalq onun sözünə cavab vermədi.

পরে এলিয় লোকদের সামনে গিয়ে বললেন, “আর কতদিন তোমরা দুই নৌকায় পা দিয়ে থাকবে? যদি সদাপ্রভুই ঈশ্বর হন তবে তাঁর অনুসরণ কর, আর যদি বালদেবতাই ঈশ্বর হন তবে তাঁর অনুসরণ কর।” কিন্তু লোকেরা কোনো উত্তর দিল না।
এলিয় লোকদের সামনে গিয়ে বললেন, “আর কত দিন তোমরা দুটি অভিমতের মাঝে দ্বিধাগ্রস্ত হয়ে থাকবে? সদাপ্রভু যদি ঈশ্বর হন, তবে তাঁর অনুগামী হও; কিন্তু বায়াল যদি ঈশ্বর হয়, তবে তারই অনুগামী হও।” কিন্তু লোকেরা কিছুই বলেনি।

以利亚前来对众民说：“你们心持两意要到几时呢？若耶和华是 神，就当顺从耶和华；若巴力是 神，就当顺从巴力。”众民一言不答。

Nu verscheen Elias voor het verzamelde volk en sprak: Hoe lang blijft ge nog op twee gedachten hinken? Als Jahweh God is, dien Hem dan; is het Báal, dan moet ge Báal dienen. Het volk wist er niets op te antwoorden.
Toen naderde Elia tot het ganse volk, en zeide: Hoe lang hinkt gij op twee gedachten? Zo de HEERE God is, volgt Hem na, en zo het Baal is, volgt hem na! Maar het volk antwoordde hem niet een woord.
And Elijah came near to all the people, and said, How long do ye go limping between the two sides? If Jehovah be God, follow him, but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How long [RHQ] are you going to be undecided [about who is truly God]? If Yahweh is [truly] God, then worship/serve him. If Baal is truly God, then worship/serve him!” But the people said nothing [in reply, because they were afraid of what Jezebel would do to them if they admitted that they worshiped Yahweh].

Και προσήλθεν ο Ηλίας προς πάντα τον λαόν και είπεν, Έως πότε χωλαίνετε μεταξύ δύο φρονημάτων; εάν ο Κύριος ήναι Θεός, ακολουθείτε αυτόν· αλλ' εάν ο Βάαλ, ακολουθείτε τούτον. Και ο λαός δεν απεκρίθη προς αυτόν λόγον.
καὶ προσήγαγεν Ηλιου πρὸς πάντας καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ηλιου ἕως πότε ὑμεῖς χωλανεῖτε ἐπ’ ἀμφοτέραις ταῖς ἰγνύαις εἰ ἔστιν κύριος ὁ θεός πορεύεσθε ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ εἰ δὲ ὁ Βααλ αὐτός πορεύεσθε ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἀπεκρίθη ὁ λαὸς λόγον
