1-Chronicles 5:1
The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be listed according to the birthright.

| وَبَنُو رَأُوبَيْنَ بِكْرِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. لِأَنَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْبِكْرُ، وَلِأَجْلِ تَدْنِيسِهِ فِرَاشَ أَبِيهِ، أُعْطِيَتْ بَكُورِيَّتُهُ لِبَنِي يُوسُفَ بْنِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَلَمْ يُنْسَبْ بِكْرًا. |
| وَكَانَ رَأُوبَيْنُ بِكْرَ إِسْرَائِيلَ. وَلَكِنَّهُ فَقَدَ امْتِيَازَاتِ بَكُورِيَّتِهِ الَّتِي وُهِبَتْ لاِبْنَيْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، لأَنَّهُ عَاشَرَ مَحْظِيَّةَ أَبِيهِ، فَلَمْ يُحْسَبْ بِكْراً. |
ৰূবেণ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ প্রথম সন্তান আছিল, তেওঁ আছিল ইস্রায়েলৰ প্রথম পুত্র; কিন্তু তেওঁৰ পিতৃৰ শয্যা কলুষিত কৰা বাবে তেওঁ নিজৰ জেষ্ঠাধিকাৰ হেৰুৱাইছিল, আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ পুত্ৰ যোচেফৰ সন্তানক সেই অধিকাৰ দিয়া হৈছিল। সেয়ে বংশাৱলীত তেওঁৰ নাম জেষ্ঠৰ শ্ৰেণীত লিখা নহ’ল।
İsrailin ilk oğlu Ruven idi, amma atasının yatağını murdarladığı üçün onun ilk oğulluq haqqı İsrailin oğlu Yusifin nəslinə verildi və Ruvenin nəsli şəcərədə ilk oğul kimi sayılmadı.
ইস্রায়েলের বড় ছেলে রূবেণের ছেলে যদিও তিনি বড় ছিলেন, কিন্তু তিনি নিজের বাবার বিছানা অপবিত্র করেছিলেন, এজন্য তাঁর বড় ছেলের অধিকার ইস্রায়েলের ছেলে যোষেফের ছেলেদের দেওয়া হল, আর বংশাবলির বড় ছেলে অনুসারে উল্লেখ করা হয় না।

И синовете на първородния на Израиля, Рувим, (защото той бе първородният; но, понеже оскверни леглото на баща си, неговото първородство се даде на синовете на Израилевия син Иосифа, а родословието не се смята според първородството;
Ang mga anak nga lalaki ni Ruben ang kamagulangang anak sa Israel—karon si Ruben mao ang kamagulangang anak ni Israel, apan gihatag ngadto sa mga anak nga lalaki ni Jose nga anak sa Israel ang katungod sa pagkamagulang tungod kay gihugawan ni Ruben ang higdaanan sa iyang amahan. Busa wala siya nahisulat isip kamagulangang anak nga lalaki.
Ug ang mga anak nga lalake ni Ruben, ang kamagulangan ni Israel (kay siya ang unang natawo, apan tungod kay iyang gihugawan ang higdaanan sa iyang amahan, ang iyang kagahum sa pagkamagulang gihatag sa mga anak nga lalake ni Jose, anak nga lalake ni Israel; ug ang kagikanan sa kaliwat dili ipasikad sumala sa pagkamagulang.

Sinovi Izraelova prvenca Rubena. On je doista bio prvenac; ali kad je oskvrnuo očevu postelju, njegovo je pravo prvorodstva bilo dano sinovima Izraelova sina Josipa, ali im nije bilo upisano u rodovnik,

De kinderen van Ruben nu, den eerstgeborene van Israel; (want hij was de eerstgeborene; maar dewijl hij zijns vaders bed ontheiligd had, werd zijn eerstgeboorte gegeven aan de kinderen van Jozef, den zoon van Israel; doch niet alzo, dat hij zich in het geslachtsregister naar de eerstgeboorte rekenen mocht;
Dit zijn de zonen van Ruben, den oudsten zoon van Israël. Ruben was wel de eerstgeborene, maar omdat hij de sponde van zijn vader ontwijd had, ging zijn eerstgeboorterecht over aan de zonen van Josef, den zoon van Israël, zonder dat dezen met de rang van eerstgeborene waren ingeschreven.
De kinderen van Ruben nu, den eerstgeborene van Israel; (want hij was de eerstgeborene; maar dewijl hij zijns vaders bed ontheiligd had, werd zijn eerstgeboorte gegeven aan de kinderen van Jozef, den zoon van Israel; doch niet alzo, dat hij zich in het geslachtsregister naar de eerstgeboorte rekenen mocht;
And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn, but, inasmuch as he defiled his father's couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, and so the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

And the sons of Reuben, the oldest son of Israel, (for he was the oldest son, but, because he made his father's bride-bed unclean, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel; but he is not to be given the place of the oldest.
And the sons of Ruben the first-born of Israel (for he [was] the first-born; but because of his going up to his father's couch, [his father] gave his blessing to his son Joseph, [even] the son of Israel; and he was not reckoned as first-born;

Also, there were the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel. For indeed, he was his firstborn, but when he had violated the bed of his father, his right as firstborn was given to the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel, and he was not reputed as firstborn.
And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn; but, inasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; but the genealogy is not registered according to the birthright,
Now the sons of Ruben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was his firstborn: but forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his first birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, and he was not accounted for the firstborn.
The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel. (Though he was the firstborn, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel because he had defiled his father's bed. That is why Reuben is not listed in the genealogy according to birthright,
The sonnes also of Reuben the eldest sonne of Israel (for he was the eldest, but had defiled his fathers bed, therefore his birthright was giuen vnto the sonnes of Ioseph the sonne of Israel, so that the genealogie is not rekoned after his birthright.
And the sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel — for he was the first-born; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's couch, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, yet not so that he was to be reckoned in the genealogy as first-born.

Reuben was the oldest son of Jacob. Therefore, he should have received the special rights/privileges that belonged to firstborn sons. But he had sex with his father’s slave wife, so [his father] gave the rights if a firstborn son to the sons of Reubers younger brother Joseph. And in the family records, Reuben is not mentioned first, like the firstborn sons always are.
The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel—now Reuben was Israel's firstborn, but his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel because Reuben had defiled his father's couch. So he is not recorded as being the oldest son.

As to sons of Reuben, first-born of Israel — for he [is] the first-born, and on account of his profaning the couch of his father hath his birthright been given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, and [he is] not to be reckoned by genealogy for the birthright,

Rubenin Israelin esikoisen lapset, sillä hän oli ensimäinen poika; mutta että hän isänsä vuoteen saastutti, annettiin hänen esikoisuutensa Josephin Israelin pojan lapsille, ja ei hän ole polviluvussa luettu esikoiseksi:

Die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels: - er war ja der Erstgeborene. Als er aber seines Vaters Lager entweihte, ist sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen des Israelsohnes Joseph verliehen worden. Aber die Erstgeburt ist nicht in die Sippenliste eingetragen worden.
Und die Söhne Rubens, [1. Mose 46,9; 2. Mose 6,14; 4. Mose 26,5-7] des Erstgeborenen Israels, -denn er war der Erstgeborene; weil er aber das Lager seines Vaters entweiht hatte, wurde sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josephs, des Sohnes Israels, gegeben; aber er wird nicht nach der Erstgeburt verzeichnet. [Eig. nach der Erstgeburt im Geschlechtsverzeichnis verzeichnet; so auch später]
Und die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels, denn er war der Erstgeborene; weil er aber das Lager seines Vaters entweiht hatte, wurde sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josephs, des Sohnes Israels, gegeben; aber er wird nicht nach der Erstgeburt verzeichnet.
Und die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels, - denn er war der Erstgeborene; als er aber das Lager seines Vaters entweiht hatte, wurde sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josephs, des Sohnes Israels, verliehen, nur daß er im Geschlechtregister nicht als Erstgeborener eingetragen werden sollte.
Die Kinder Rubens, des ersten Sohns Israels (denn er war der erste Sohn, aber damit, daß er seines Vaters Bett verunreinigte, ward seine Erstgeburt gegeben den Kindern Josephs, des Sohns Israels; und er ward nicht gerechnet zur Erstgeburt;
