David the king said to all the assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.

| وَقَالَ دَاوُدُ الْمَلِكُ لِكُلِّ الْجَمْعِ الْحَاضِرِ: «إِنَّ ابْنِي سُلَيْمَانَ الَّذِي اصْطَفَاهُ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَيَزَالُ صَغِيراً غَضّاً، وَالْعَمَلُ الْمَطْلُوبُ ضَخْمٌ، لأَنَّ الْهَيْكَلَ لَيْسَ لإِنْسَانٍ بَلْ لِلرَّبِّ الإِلَهِ. |

Then King David said to everyone gathered there, “My son Solomon, chosen by God alone, is young and inexperienced, and the work to be done is great because this Temple will not be for man, but for the Lord God.

This work [of building the temple] is great/important, because this glorious building will not be to [honor] people, but to honor Yahweh our God.

καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ ὁ βασιλεὺς πάσῃ τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳ Σαλωμων ὁ υἱός μου εἷς ὃν ᾑρέτικεν ἐν αὐτῷ κύριος νέος καὶ ἁπαλός καὶ τὸ ἔργον μέγα ὅτι οὐκ ἀνθρώπῳ ἡ οἰκοδομή ἀλλ’ ἢ κυρίῳ θεῷ

सारी सभा को राजा दावीद ने कहा: “मेरा पुत्र शलोमोन, जो सिर्फ परमेश्वर द्वारा ही चुना गया है, इस समय कम उम्र और कम अनुभव का है, जबकि यह एक बड़ा काम है, क्योंकि यह मंदिर किसी इंसान का नहीं, याहवेह परमेश्वर के आदर में बनाया जा रहा है.

ತರುವಾಯ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು, “ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನೇ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಕಟ್ಟಲು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಎಳೇ ಪ್ರಾಯದವನು. ಮಾಡತಕ್ಕ ಕೆಲಸವೋ ವಿಶೇಷವಾದದ್ದು. ಕಟ್ಟತಕ್ಕ ಮಂದಿರವು ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗಾಗಿಯಲ್ಲ.
