< Jeremiah 48 >

1 Nípa Moabu. Báyìí ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun, Ọlọ́run Israẹli wí: “Ègbé ni fún Nebo nítorí a ó parun. A dójútì Kiriataimu, a sì mú un, ojú yóò ti alágbára, a ó sì fọ́nká.
Against Moab thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
2 Moabu kò ní ní ìyìn mọ́, ní Heṣboni ni wọn ó pète ìparun rẹ̀, ‘Wá, kí a pa orílẹ̀-èdè náà run.’ Àti ẹ̀yin òmùgọ̀ ọkùnrin pàápàá ni a ó pa lẹ́nu mọ́, a ó fi idà lé e yín.
There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also you shall be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue you.
3 Gbọ́ igbe ní Horonaimu, igbe ìrora àti ìparun ńlá.
A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction.
4 Moabu yóò di wíwó palẹ̀; àwọn ọmọdé rẹ̀ yóò kígbe síta.
Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
5 Wọ́n gòkè lọ sí Luhiti, wọ́n ń sọkún kíkorò bí wọ́n ti ń lọ; ní ojú ọ̀nà sí Horonaimu igbe ìrora ìparun ni à ń gbọ́ lọ.
For in the going up of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the going down of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.
6 Sá! Àsálà fún ẹ̀mí yín; kí ẹ sì dàbí aláìní ní aginjù.
Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.
7 Níwọ́n ìgbà tí o gbẹ́kẹ̀lé agbára àti ọrọ̀ rẹ, a ó kó ìwọ náà ní ìgbèkùn, Kemoṣi náà yóò lọ sí ilẹ̀ ìgbèkùn pẹ̀lú àlùfáà àti àwọn aláṣẹ rẹ̀.
For because you have trusted in your works and in your treasures, you shall also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.
8 Gbogbo ìlú rẹ ni apanirun yóò dojúkọ, ìlú kan kò sì ní le là. Àfonífojì yóò di ahoro àti ilẹ̀ títẹ́ ni a ó run, nítorí tí Olúwa ti sọ̀rọ̀.
And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD has spoken.
9 Fi iyọ̀ sí Moabu, nítorí yóò ṣègbé, àwọn ìlú rẹ yóò sì di ahoro láìsí ẹni tí yóò gbé inú rẹ̀.
Give wings unto Moab, that it may flee and get away: for the cities thereof shall be desolate, without any to dwell therein.
10 “Ìfibú ni fún ẹni tí ó fi ìmẹ́lẹ́ ṣe iṣẹ́ Olúwa, ìfibú ni fún ẹni tí ó pa idà mọ́ fún ìtàjẹ̀ sílẹ̀.
Cursed be he that does the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keeps back his sword from blood.
11 “Moabu ti wà ní ìsinmi láti ìgbà èwe rẹ̀ wá bí i ọtí wáìnì lórí gẹ̀dẹ̀gẹ́dẹ̀ rẹ̀, tí a kò dà láti ìgò kan sí èkejì kò tí ì lọ sí ilẹ̀ ìgbèkùn rí. Ó dùn lẹ́nu bí ó ti yẹ, òórùn rẹ̀ kò yí padà.
Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his sediments of wine, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.
12 Ṣùgbọ́n ọjọ́ ń bọ̀,” ni Olúwa wí, “nígbà tí n ó rán àwọn tí ó n da ọtí láti inú àwọn ìgò tí wọ́n ó sì dà á síta; wọn ó sọ àwọn ìgò rẹ̀ di òfo, wọn ó sì fọ́ àwọn ife rẹ̀.
Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.
13 Nígbà náà Moabu yóò sì tú u nítorí Kemoṣi, bí ojú ti í ti ilé Israẹli nígbà tí ó gbẹ́kẹ̀lé Beteli.
And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.
14 “Báwo ni o ṣe lè sọ pé, ‘Ajagun ni wá, alágbára ní ogun jíjà’?
How say all of you, We are mighty and strong men for the war?
15 A ó pa Moabu run, a ó sì gba àwọn ìlú rẹ̀; a ó sì dúńbú àwọn arẹwà ọkùnrin rẹ̀,” ni ọba wí, ẹni tí orúkọ rẹ̀ ń jẹ́ Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun.
Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, says the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
16 “Ìṣubú Moabu súnmọ́; ìpọ́njú yóò dé kánkán.
The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hastes fast.
17 Ẹ dárò fún, gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ó yí i ká gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ẹ mọ bí ó ti ní òkìkí tó. Ẹ sọ pé, ‘Báwo ni ọ̀pá agbára rẹ títóbi tí ó sì lógo ṣe fọ́!’
All you that are about him, lament for him; and all you that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!
18 “Sọ̀kalẹ̀ níbi ògo rẹ, kí o sì jókòó ní ilẹ̀ gbígbẹ, ẹ̀yin olùgbé ọmọbìnrin Diboni, nítorí tí ẹni tí ó pa Moabu run yóò dojúkọ ọ́ yóò sì pa àwọn ìlú olódi rẹ run.
You daughter that do inhabit Dibon, come down from your glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon you, and he shall destroy your strong holds.
19 Dúró lẹ́bàá ọ̀nà kí o sì wòran, ìwọ tí ń gbé ní Aroeri. Bí ọkùnrin tí ó sálọ àti obìnrin tí ó ń sá àsálà ‘Kí ni ohun tí ó ṣẹlẹ̀?’
O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and monitor; ask him that flees, and her that escapes, and say, What is done?
20 Ojú ti Moabu nítorí tí a wó o lulẹ̀. Ẹ hu, kí ẹ sì kígbe! Ẹ kéde rẹ̀ ní Arnoni pé, a pa Moabu run.
Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: wail and cry; tell all of you it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,
21 Ìdájọ́ ti dé sí àwọn òkè pẹrẹsẹ, sórí Holoni, Jahisa àti Mefaati,
And judgment has come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,
22 sórí Diboni, Nebo àti Beti-Diblataimu,
And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Bethdiblathaim,
23 sórí Kiriataimu, Beti-Gamu àti Beti-Meoni,
And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Bethgamul, and upon Bethmeon,
24 sórí Kerioti àti Bosra, sórí gbogbo ìlú Moabu, nítòsí àti ní ọ̀nà jíjìn.
And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
25 A gé ìwo Moabu kúrò, apá rẹ̀ dá,” ni Olúwa wí.
The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, says the LORD.
26 “Ẹ jẹ́ kí a mú u mutí nítorí ó kó ìdọ̀tí bá Olúwa, jẹ́ kí Moabu lúwẹ̀ẹ́ nínú èébì rẹ̀, kí ó di ẹni ẹ̀gàn.
Make all of you him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
27 Ǹjẹ́ Israẹli kò di ẹni ẹ̀gàn rẹ? Ǹjẹ́ a kó o pẹ̀lú àwọn olè tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí o ń gbọn orí rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú yẹ̀yẹ́ nígbàkígbà bí a bá sọ̀rọ̀ nípa rẹ̀?
For was not Israel a derision unto you? was he found among thieves? for since you spoke of him, you skipped for joy.
28 Kúrò ní àwọn ìlú rẹ, kí o sì máa gbé láàrín àwọn òkúta, ẹ̀yin tí ó ti ń gbé inú ìlú Moabu. Ẹ dàbí i àdàbà tí ó kọ́ ìtẹ́ rẹ̀ sí ẹnu ihò.
O all of you that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that makes her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth.
29 “A ti gbọ́ nípa ìgbéraga Moabu: àti ìwà mo gbọ́n tan rẹ̀ àti ìgbéraga ọkàn rẹ̀.
We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
30 Mo mọ àfojúdi rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n òfo ni,” ni Olúwa wí, “ìfọ́nnu rẹ̀ kò lè ṣe nǹkan kan.
I know his wrath, says the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.
31 Nítorí náà, mo pohùnréré ẹkún lórí Moabu fún àwọn ará Moabu ni mo kígbe lóhùn rara, mo kẹ́dùn fún àwọn ọkùnrin Kiri-Hareseti.
Therefore will I wail for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kirheres.
32 Mo sọkún fún ọ bí Jaseri ṣe sọkún ìwọ àjàrà Sibma. Ẹ̀ka rẹ tẹ̀ títí dé Òkun, wọn dé Òkun Jaseri. Ajẹnirun ti kọlu èso rẹ, ìkórè èso àjàrà rẹ.
O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for you with the weeping of Jazer: your plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon your summer fruits and upon your vintage.
33 Ayọ̀ àti ìdùnnú ti kúrò nínú ọgbà àjàrà àti oko Moabu. Mo dá ọwọ́ ṣíṣàn ọtí wáìnì dúró lọ́dọ̀ olùfúntí; kò sí ẹni tí ó ń tẹ̀ wọ́n pẹ̀lú igbe ayọ̀. Bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé igbe wà, wọn kì í ṣe igbe ti ayọ̀.
And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab, and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.
34 “Ohùn igbe wọn gòkè láti Heṣboni dé Eleale àti Jahasi, láti Soari títí dé Horonaimu àti Eglati-Ṣeliṣi, nítorí àwọn omi Nimrimu pẹ̀lú yóò gbẹ.
From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
35 Ní ti Moabu ni èmi yóò ti fi òpin sí ẹni tí ó rú ẹbọ ní ibí gíga àti ẹni tí ń sun tùràrí fún òrìṣà rẹ̀,” ni Olúwa wí.
Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, says the LORD, him that offers in the high places, and him that burns incense to his gods.
36 “Nítorí náà ọkàn mi ró fún Moabu bí fèrè, ọkàn mi ró bí fèrè fún àwọn ọkùnrin Kiri-Hareseti. Nítorí ìṣúra tí ó kójọ ṣègbé.
Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the riches that he has got are perished.
37 Gbogbo orí ni yóò pá, gbogbo irùngbọ̀n ni a ó gé kúrò, gbogbo ọwọ́ ni a sá lọ́gbẹ́, àti aṣọ ọ̀fọ̀ ní gbogbo ẹ̀gbẹ́.
For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
38 Ẹkún ńlá ní yóò wà lórí gbogbo òrùlé Moabu, àti ní ìta rẹ̀, nítorí èmi ti fọ́ Moabu bí a ti ń fọ́ ohun èlò tí kò wu ni,” ni Olúwa wí.
There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, says the LORD.
39 “Èéṣe tí ẹ fi fọ́ túútúú, tí ẹ sì fi ń pohùnréré ẹkún! Báwo ni Moabu ṣe yí ẹ̀yìn padà ní ìtìjú! Moabu ti di ẹni ìtìjú àti ẹ̀gàn àti ìdààmú sí gbogbo àwọn tí ó yìí ká.”
They shall wail, saying, How is it broken down! how has Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.
40 Báyìí ni Olúwa wí: “Wò ó ẹyẹ idì náà ń fò bọ̀ nílẹ̀ ó sì na ìyẹ́ rẹ̀ lórí Moabu.
For thus says the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.
41 Kerioti ni a ó kó lẹ́rú àti ilé agbára ni ó gbà. Ní ọjọ́ náà ọkàn àwọn akọni Moabu yóò dàbí ọkàn obìnrin tí ó ń rọbí.
Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 A ó pa Moabu run gẹ́gẹ́ bí orílẹ̀-èdè nítorí pé ó gbéraga sí Olúwa.
And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he has magnified himself against the LORD.
43 Ẹ̀rù àti ọ̀fìn àti okùn dídè ń dúró dè yín, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn Moabu,” ní Olúwa wí.
Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon you, O inhabitant of Moab, says the LORD.
44 “Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá sá fún ẹ̀rù yóò ṣubú sínú ọ̀fìn ẹnikẹ́ni tí o bá jáde síta nínú ọ̀fìn ní à ó mú nínú okùn dídè nítorí tí èmi yóò mú wá sórí Moabu àní ọdún ìjìyà rẹ,” ní Olúwa wí.
He that flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that gets up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, says the LORD.
45 “Ní abẹ́ òjìji Heṣboni àwọn tí ó sá dúró láìní agbára, nítorí iná ti jáde wá láti Heṣboni, àti ọwọ́ iná láti àárín Sihoni, yóò sì jó iwájú orí Moabu run, àti agbárí àwọn ọmọ aláriwo.
They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
46 Ègbé ní fún ọ Moabu! Àwọn ènìyàn orílẹ̀-èdè Kemoṣi ṣègbé a kó àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ lọ sí ilẹ̀ àjèjì àti àwọn ọmọbìnrin rẹ lọ sí ìgbèkùn.
Woe be unto you, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perishes: for your sons are taken captives, and your daughters captives.
47 “Síbẹ̀, èmi yóò dá ìkólọ Moabu padà ní ọjọ́ ìkẹyìn,” ni Olúwa wí. Eléyìí ní ìdájọ́ ìkẹyìn lórí Moabu.
Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, says the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
