< Psalms 55 >

1 Nkunga Davidi kuidi pfumu minyimbidi, kayimbidila. Dimba lusambulu luama, a Nzambi; ayi kadi zimbakana mambu mama.
For the end, among Hymns of instruction by David. Hearken, O God, to my prayer; and disregard not my supplication.
2 Wunguila ayi wuphani mvutu; mayindu mama malembo mbonisa phasi ayi ndilembo sambi;
Attend to me, and hearken to me: I was grieved in my (meditation) and troubled;
3 mu diambu di mbembo yi mbeni; mu diambu di yamusu ku mutu wumbimbi bila minu beti yekikilanga ziphasi bila balembo mfingi mu nganzi awu.
because of the voice of the enemy, and because of the oppression of the sinner: for they brought iniquity against me, and were wrathfully angry with me.
4 Ntimꞌama widi mu maniongo mu minu; ayi boma bu lufua lu mbuididi.
My heart was troubled within me; and the fear of death fell upon me.
5 Tsisi ayi lukhuku bieka mu minu ayi boma bu ngolo bumbuididi.
Fear and trembling came upon me, and darkness covered me.
6 Buna ndituba: “Enati ndiba ayi mavavi ma dibembi nganu ndieka tumbu dumuka ayi ba mu luvundulu.
And I said, O that I had wings as [those] of a dove! then would I flee away, and be at rest.
7 Nganu, ndiela tinina ku thama, ayi vuanda ku dikanga.
Lo! I have fled afar off, and lodged in the wilderness. (Pause)
8 Ndiela tina nsualu mu tomba suamunu ku buangu kikambulu phemo yingolo ayi vuka kingolo.”
I waited for him that should deliver me from distress of spirit and tempest.
9 Kotisa batu bambimbi mu divuda, A Yawe ayi vunzikisa mambu mawu bantuba. Bila ndilembo moni makhemi ayi ziphaka mu divula.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen iniquity and gain saying in the city.
10 Muini ayi builu, makhemi ayi ziphaka bizungidila bibaka bi divula; diela dimbimbi ayi kambu dukisa zitsila bieka mu khati divula.
Day and night he shall go round about it upon its walls: iniquity and sorrow and unrighteousness [are] in the midst of it;
11 Mbivusu kiawu kisalu kieka mu khati divula; khuamusu ayi luvunu bikadi botuka mu zinzila zi divula.
and usury and craft have not failed from its streets.
12 Enati mbeni wumfingidi nganu ndikimba moyo; enati mutu wukundendanga niandi weti kukiniemisa va ntualꞌama nganu ndisuama kuama va ntualꞌama.
For if an enemy had reproached me, I would have endured it; and if one who hated [me] had spoken vauntingly against me, I would have hid myself from him.
13 Vayi ngeyo, mutu banga minu wundiatanga yama va kimosi; nkundi ama wu kuikama;
But thou, O man like minded, my guide, and my acquaintance,
14 mutu wowo wubedi kalanga yama mu khini; wubedi kibanga va kimosi ayi nkangu wu batu ku Nzo Nzambi!
who in companionship with me sweetened [our] food: we walked in the house of God in concord.
15 Bika lufua lu bibuila bambeni ziama mu kinzimbukila ayi bika bakuluka bamoyo ku tsi bafua! Bila mambimbi mabakudi buangu va khatitsikꞌawa, (Sheol h7585)
Let death come upon them, and let them go down alive into Hades, for iniquity is in their dwellings, in the midst of them. (Sheol h7585)
16 Mbadi minu, ndintela Nzambi, ayi Yave wuphukisidi.
I cried to God, and the Lord hearkened to me.
17 Yiba nsuka, midi ayi masika, Ndieti yamikina mu ziphasi; ayi weti wa mbembo ama.
Evening, and morning, and at noon I will declare and make known [my wants]: and he shall hear my voice.
18 Wukukhulanga wumbimba, mu kambu sumbula mu mvita yi banduanisa ka diambu ko bawombo banduanisa.
He shall deliver my soul in peace from them that draw nigh to me: for they were with me in many [cases].
19 Nzambi wunyadila va kundu kiandi ki luyalu mu zithangu zioso wela kuba wa ayi wela kuba monisa phasi; batu bobo balendi balula zinzila ziawu ko ayi bakinzikanga Nzambi ko.
God shall hear, and bring them low, [even] he that has existed from eternity. (Pause) For they suffer no reverse, and [therefore] they have not feared God.
20 Mutu wundiatanga yama wulembo nuanisa bakundi bandi wubundula Nguizani andi.
He has reached forth his hand for retribution; they have profaned his covenant.
21 Mambu mandi ndelo madi banga dibela muaki mvita yidi mu ntimꞌandi; Mambu mandi madi malebila viokila mafuta muaki madi banga bisabala bikubimini mu vonda.
They were scattered at the anger of his countenance, and his heart drew nigh them. His words were smoother than oil, yet are they darts.
22 Yekula bizitu biaku kuidi Yave, niandi wela kukindisa; kalendi tala ko ti mutu wusonga kabua.
Cast thy care upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23 Vayi ngeyo Nzambi, wela buisa batu bambimbi; mintengudi mi menga ayi bankua livunu bela dukisa ko ndambu yi bilumbu biawu; vayi minu diana diama didi mu ngeyo.
But thou, O God, shalt bring them down to the pit of destruction; bloody and crafty men shall not live out half their days; but I will hope in thee, O Lord.
