Thánh Thi 35

1 Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, xin hãy cãi cọ cùng kẻ cãi cọ tôi, Hãy chinh chiến với kẻ chinh chiến cùng tôi.

A Psalm of David. Strive, O LORD, with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me.

2 Xin hãy cầm lấy khiên nhỏ và lớn, Chổi-dậy đặng giúp đỡ tôi.

Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise up to my help.

3 Xin hãy rút giáo, cản đường kẻ nào rượt theo tôi; Hãy nói cùng linh hồn tôi: Ta là sự cứu rỗi ngươi.

Draw out also the spear, and the battle-axe, against them that pursue me; say unto my soul: 'I am Thy salvation.'

4 Nguyện kẻ tìm giết mạng sống tôi phải bị hổ thẹn và sỉ nhục; Ước gì kẻ toan hại tôi phải lui lại, và bị mất cỡ.

Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and be abashed that devise my hurt.

5 Nguyện chúng nó như trấu bị gió thổi đùa, Cầu xin thiên sứ Đức Giê-hô-va đuổi chúng nó đi!

Let them be as chaff before the wind, the angel of the LORD thrusting them.

6 Nguyện đường chúng nó phải tối mịt và trơn trợt, Cầu thiên sứ Đức Giê-hô-va đuổi theo chúng nó!

Let their way be dark and slippery, the angel of the LORD pursuing them.

7 Vì vô cớ chúng nó gài kín lưới cho tôi, Và vô cớ đào một cái hầm cho linh hồn tôi.

For without cause have they hid for me the pit, even their net, without cause have they digged for my soul.

8 Nguyện tai họa không ngờ đến hãm áp nó, Ước gì lưới nó gài kín bắt lại nó; Nguyện nó sa vào đó, và bị diệt đi.

Let destruction come upon him unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself; with destruction let him fall therein.

9 Linh hồn tôi sẽ vui vẻ nơi Đức Giê-hô-va, Mừng rỡ về sự cứu rỗi của Ngài.

And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; it shall rejoice in His salvation.

10 Các xương cốt tôi sẽ nói: Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, Ngài giải cứu người khốn cùng khỏi kẻ mạnh hơn người, Cứu người khốn cùng và kẻ thiếu thốn khỏi đứa cướp lột: Vậy, có ai giống như Ngài chăng?

All my bones shall say: 'LORD, who is like unto Thee, who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?'

11 Những chứng gian dấy lên, Tra hỏi những việc tôi không biết đến.

Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I know not.

12 Chúng nó lấy dữ trả lành; Linh hồn tôi bị bỏ xuội.

They repay me evil for good; bereavement is come to my soul.

13 Còn tôi, khi chúng nó đau, tôi bèn mặc lấy bao, Kiêng ăn ép linh hồn tôi, Lời cầu nguyện tôi trở vào ngực tôi.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth, I afflicted my soul with fasting; and my prayer, may it return into mine own bosom.

14 Tôi cư xử dường như là bạn hữu hay là anh em tôi; Tôi buồn đi cúi xuống như kẻ than khóc mẹ mình.

I went about as though it had been my friend or my brother; I bowed down mournful, as one that mourneth for his mother.

15 Nhưng trong lúc tôi bị gian nan, chúng nó bèn nhóm lại vui mừng; Những kẻ cáo gian đều nhóm lại nghịch cùng tôi, song tôi chẳng biết; Chúng nó cấu xé tôi không ngừng.

But when I halt they rejoice, and gather themselves together; the abjects gather themselves together against me, and those whom I know not; they tear me, and cease not;

16 Chúng nó nghiến răng nghịch tôi Với những kẻ ác tệ hay nhạo báng.

With the profanest mockeries of backbiting they gnash at me with their teeth.

17 Chúa ôi! Chúa chịu xem điều ấy cho đến chừng nào? Xin hãy cứu vớt linh hồn tôi khỏi sự phá tan của chúng nó, Và rút mạng sống tôi khỏi sư tử.

Lord, how long wilt Thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, mine only one from the lions.

18 Tôi sẽ cảm tạ Chúa trong hội lớn, Ngợi khen Ngài giữa dân đông.

I will give Thee thanks in the great congregation; I will praise Thee among a numerous people.

19 Cầu xin chớ cho những kẻ làm thù nghịch tôi vô cớ mừng rỡ về tôi; Cũng đừng để các kẻ ghét tôi vô cớ nheo con mắt.

Let not them that are wrongfully mine enemies rejoice over me; neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

20 Vì chúng nó chẳng nói lời hòa bình; Nhưng toan phỉnh gạt các người hiền hòa trong xứ.

For they speak not peace; but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

21 Chúng nó hả miệng hoát ra nghịch tôi, Mà rằng: Ha, ha! mắt ta đã thấy điều đó rồi

Yea, they open their mouth wide against me; they say: 'Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.'

22 Đức Giê-hô-va ôi! Ngài đã thấy điều ấy, xin chớ làm thinh: Chúa ôi! chớ dan xa tôi.

Thou hast seen, O LORD; keep not silence; O Lord, be not far from me.

23 Hỡi Đức Chúa Trời là Chúa tôi, hãy tỉnh thức, hãy chổi dậy, để phán xét tôi công bình, Và binh vực duyên cớ tôi.

Rouse Thee, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

24 Hỡi Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời tôi, hãy đoán xét tôi tùy sự công bình của Chúa; Chớ để chúng nó vui mừng vì cớ tôi.

Judge me, O LORD my God, according to Thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

25 Chớ để chúng nó nói trong lòng rằng: ĩ! kìa, điều chúng ta ước ao đó; hoặc nói rằng: chúng ta đã nuốt trọn nó rồi.

Let them not say in their heart: 'Aha, we have our desire'; let them not say: 'We have swallowed him up.'

26 Phàm kẻ nào vui mừng về sự tai họa tôi, Nguyện họ đều bị hổ thẹn và mất cỡ; Phàm người nào dấy lên cùng tôi cách kiêu ngạo, Nguyện họ đều bị bao phủ xấu hổ và sỉ nhục.

Let them be ashamed and abashed together that rejoice at my hurt; let them be clothed with shame and confusion that magnify themselves against me.

27 Còn ai binh duyên cớ công bình tôi, Nguyện họ đều reo mừng; Nguyện họ thường nói không ngớt: Đáng tôn trọng Đức Giê-hô-va thay! Là Đấng vui cho tôi tớ Ngài được may mắn.

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that delight in my righteousness; yea, let them say continually: 'Magnified be the LORD, who delighteth in the peace of His servant.'

28 Vậy, lưỡi tôi sẽ thuật sự công bình Chúa, Và trọn ngày ngợi khen Chúa.

And my tongue shall speak of Thy righteousness, and of Thy praise all the day.
