1 Ha-lê-lu-gia! Hãy ngợi khen danh Đức Giê-hô-va: Hỡi các tôi tớ Đức Giê-hô-va,
Let the Lord be praised. O you servants of the Lord, give praise to the name of the Lord.
2 Là kẻ đứng trong nhà Đức Giê-hô-va, Tại hành lang của nhà Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta, hãy ngợi khen Ngài!
You who are in the house of the Lord, and in the open spaces of the house of our God,
3 Hãy ngợi khen Đức Giê-hô-va, vì Đức Giê-hô-va là thiện; Khá hát ngợi khen danh Ngài, vì ấy là vui.
Give praise to Jah, for he is good: make melody to his name, for it is pleasing.
4 Vì Đức Giê-hô-va đã chọn Gia-cốp cho mình, Lấy Y-sơ-ra-ên làm cơ nghiệp riêng của Ngài.
For the Lord has taken Jacob for himself, and Israel for his property.
5 Tôi biết rằng Đức Giê-hô-va là lớn, Chúa chúng tôi trổi cao hơn hết các thần.
I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is greater than all other gods.
6 Điều nào đẹp ý Đức Giê-hô-va làm, Ngài bèn làm điều nấy, Hoặc trên trời, dưới đất, Trong biển, hay là trong các vực sâu.
The Lord has done whatever was pleasing to him, in heaven, and on the earth, in the seas and in all the deep waters.
7 Ngài khiến mây bay lên từ nơi cùng-đầu đất, Làm chớp-nhoáng theo mưa, Khiến gió ra từ các kho tàng của Ngài.
He makes the mists go up from the ends of the earth; he makes thunder-flames for the rain; he sends out the winds from his store-houses.
8 Ngài đánh giết các con đầu lòng xứ Ê-díp-tô, Từ loài người cho đến loài thú vật;
He put to death the first-fruits of Egypt, of man and of beast.
9 Sai đến giữa Ê-díp-tô những dấu k” phép lạ Hại Pha-ra-ôn và hết thảy các tôi tớ người;
He sent signs and wonders among you, O Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his servants.
10 Cũng đánh bại lắm dân tộc lớn, Và giết các vua mạnh mẽ,
He overcame great nations, and put strong kings to death;
11 Từc là Si-hôn, Vua dân A-mô-rít, Oùc, vua Ba-san, Và hết thảy vua xứ Ca-na-an.
Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
12 Ngài ban xứ chúng nó làm sản nghiệp Cho Y-sơ-ra-ên, là dân sự Ngài.
And gave their land for a heritage, even for a heritage to Israel his people.
13 Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, danh Ngài còn đến đời đời; Kỷ niệm Ngài trải qua đời nầy đến đời kia.
O Lord, your name is eternal; and the memory of you will have no end.
14 Vì Đức Giê-hô-va sẽ đoán xét dân sự Ngài, Và đổi ý về việc những kẻ tôi tớ Ngài.
For the Lord will be judge of his people's cause; his feelings will be changed to his servants.
15 Hình tượng của các dân bằng bạc và bằng vàng, Là công việc tay loài người làm ra.
The images of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
16 Hình tượng có miệng mà không nói, Có mắt mà chẳng thấy,
They have mouths, but no voice, they have eyes, but they do not see;
17 Có tai mà không nghe, Và miệng nó không hơi thở.
They have ears, but no hearing; and there is no breath in their mouths.
18 Phàm kẻ nào làm hình tượng, và nhờ cậy nơi nó, Đều giống như nó.
Those who make them are like them; and so is everyone who puts his hope in them.
19 Hỡi nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy chúc tụng Đức Giê-hô-va! Hỡi nhà A-rôn, hãy chúc tụng Đức Giê-hô-va!
Give praise to the Lord, O children of Israel: give praise to the Lord, O sons of Aaron:
20 Hỡi nhà Lê-vi, hãy chúc tụng Đức Giê-hô-va! Hỡi các người kính sợ Đức Giê-hô-va, khá chúc tụng Đức Giê-hô-va!
Give praise to the Lord, O sons of Levi: let all the worshippers of the Lord give him praise.
21 Đáng từ Si-ôn chúc tụng Đức Giê-hô-va, Là Đấng ngự tại Giê-ru-sa-lem! Ha-lê-lu-gia!
Praise be to the Lord out of Zion, even to the Lord whose house is in Jerusalem, Let the Lord be praised.
