Ma-thi-ơ 28
1 Sau ngày Sa-bát, ngày thứ nhất trong tuần lễ, lúc tưng tưng sáng, có Ma-ri Ma-đơ-len và Ma-ri khác đến thăm mộ.
After (the Sabbath/the Jewish day of rest) [ended], on Sunday morning at dawn, Mary from Magdala and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2 Và nầy, đất rúng động dữ dội, vì có thiên sứ của Chúa ở trên trời xuống, đến lăn hòn đá ra mà ngồi ở trên.
Suddenly there was a strong earthquake. [At the same time] an angel from God came down from heaven. He [went to the tomb and] rolled the stone away [from the entrance so that everyone could see that the tomb was empty]. Then he sat on the stone.
3 Hình dong của thiên sứ giống như chớp nháng, và áo trắng như tuyết.
His appearance was [as bright] [SIM] as lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow.
4 Vì đó, những lính canh sợ hãi run rẩy, trở nên như người chết.
The guards shook because they were very afraid. Then they became [completely motionless], as though they were dead.
5 Song thiên sứ nói cùng các người đàn bà đó rằng: Các ngươi đừng sợ chi cả; vì ta biết các ngươi tìm Đức Chúa Jêsus, là Đấng bị đóng đinh trên thập tự giá.
The angel said to the two women, “You should not be afraid! I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was {whom they} (nailed to a cross/crucified).
6 Ngài không ở đây đâu; Ngài sống lại rồi, như lời Ngài đã phán. Hãy đến xem chỗ Ngài đã nằm;
He is not here! [God] has (caused him to be alive again/raised him [from the dead]), just like [Jesus] told you [would happen!] Come and see the place where his body lay!
7 và hãy đi mau nói cho môn đồ Ngài hay rằng Ngài đã từ kẻ chết sống lại. Đây nầy, Ngài đi trước các ngươi qua xứ Ga-li-lê; ở đó, các ngươi sẽ thấy Ngài. Aáy, ta đã bảo các ngươi.
Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead! He will go ahead of you to Galilee [district]. You will see him there.’ [Pay attention to what] I have told you!”
8 Hai người đàn bà đó bèn vội vàng ra khỏi mộ, vừa sợ vừa cả mừng, chạy báo tin cho các môn đồ.
So the women left the tomb quickly. They were afraid, but they were [also] very joyful. They ran to tell us disciples [what had happened].
9 Nầy, Đức Chúa Jêsus gặp hai người đàn bà đó, thì phán rằng: Mừng các ngươi! Hai người cùng đến gần ôm chân Ngài, và thờ lạy Ngài.
Suddenly, [as they were running], Jesus appeared to them. He said, “Greetings!” The women came close to him. They knelt down and clasped his feet and worshipped him.
10 Đức Chúa Jêsus bèn phán rằng: Đừng sợ chi cả; hãy đi bảo cho anh em ta đi qua xứ Ga-li-lê, ở đó sẽ thấy ta.
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid! Go and tell (all my disciples/all those who have been accompanying me) that they should go to Galilee. They will see me there.”
11 Trong khi hai người đàn bà đó đi đường, thì có mấy tên lính canh vào thành thuật lại cho các thầy tế lễ cả biết mọi việc đã xảy đến.
While the women were going, some of the soldiers who had been guarding [the tomb] went into the city. They reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.
12 Các thầy bèn nhóm lại cùng các trưởng lão đặng bàn luận, xong rồi, thì họ cho những lính đó nhiều tiền bạc,
So the chief priests and Jewish elders met together. They made a plan [to explain why the tomb was empty]. They gave the soldiers a lot of money [as a bribe].
13 mà dặn rằng: Các ngươi hãy nói rằng: Môn đồ nó đã đến lúc ban đêm, khi chúng tôi đang ngủ, mà lấy trộm nó đi.
They said, “Tell people, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole his [body] while we were sleeping.’
14 Nếu điều ấy thấu tai quan tổng đốc, thì chúng ta sẽ khuyên giải người, và làm cho các ngươi khỏi lo sợ.
If the governor hears [MTY] about this, we ourselves will make sure that he does not get angry [and punish you]. [So you will not have to worry].”
15 Mấy tên lính đó lấy bạc, và làm theo như lời. Tiếng ấy đã đồn ra trong dân Giu-đa cho đến ngày nay.
So the soldiers took the money and did as they were told {as [the chief priests and elders] told them}. And this story has been told {People have told this story} among the Jews to the very day [that I am writing] this.
16 Mười một môn đồ, đi qua xứ Ga-li-lê, lên hòn núi mà Đức Chúa Jêsus đã chỉ cho.
[Later we] eleven [disciples] went to Galilee [district]. We went to the mountain where Jesus had told [us] to go.
17 Khi môn đồ thấy Ngài, thì thờ lạy Ngài; nhưng có một vài người nghi ngờ.
We saw him [there] and worshipped him. But some of [us] doubted [that it was really Jesus, and that he had become alive again].
18 Đức Chúa Jêsus đến gần, phán cùng môn đồ như vầy: Hết cả quyền phép ở trên trời và dưới đất đã giao cho ta.
Then Jesus came [close] to [us] and said, “[My Father] has given me all authority over everything and everyone in heaven and on earth.
19 Vậy, hãy đi dạy dỗ muôn dân, hãy nhân danh Đức Cha, Đức Con, và Đức Thánh Linh mà làm phép báp tem cho họ,
So go, and [using my authority, teach my message to] people of all ethnic groups so that they may become my disciples. Baptize them [to be under the authority of] [MTY] my Father, and of me, his Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
