I-sai-a 5
1 Ta sẽ hát cho bạn rất yêu dấu ta một bài ca của bạn yêu dấu ta về việc vườn nho người. Bạn rất yêu dấu ta có một vườn nho ở trên gò đất tốt.
Let me sing, I pray you, for a well-beloved of mine, The song of my beloved concerning his vineyard: —A vineyard, had my well-beloved on a very fruitful hill;
2 Người khai phá ra; cất bỏ những đá; trồng những gốc nho xinh tốt; dựng một cái tháp giữa vườn, và đào một nơi ép rượu. Vả, người mong rằng sẽ sanh trái nho; nhưng nó lại sanh trái nho hoang.
And he thoroughly digged it, And gathered out the stones thereof, And planted it with a precious vine, And built a tower in the midst thereof, Moreover also a wine-press, hewed he therein, —Then waited he that it should bring forth grapes. And it brought forth wild grapes:
3 Hỡi dân ở Giê-ru-sa-lem cùng người Giu-đa, vậy thì bây giờ ta xin các ngươi hãy đoán xét giữa ta với vườn nho ta.
Now, therefore, O inhabitant of Jerusalem, And men of Judah, —Judge, I pray you, betwixt me, and my vineyard: —
4 Có điều chi nên làm cho vườn nho ta mà ta không làm cho nó chăng? Cớ sao khi ta mong sanh trái nho, thì nó lại sanh trái nho hoang vậy?
What could have been done further to my vineyard, That I had not done in it? Why then—When I had waited that it should bring forth grapes, Brought it forth, wild grapes?
5 Nầy, ta sẽ bảo các ngươi về điều ta định làm cho vườn nho ta: Ta phá rào, nó sẽ bị cắn nuốt; ta hạ tường xuống, nó sẽ bị giày đạp.
Now, therefore, I pray you, let me tell, you, what I am about to do to my vineyard, —To take away the fence thereof And it shall be eaten up, To destroy the wall thereof And it shall be trodden down;
6 Ta sẽ để nó hoang loạn, chẳng tỉa sửa, chẳng vun xới; nhưng tại đó sẽ mọc lên những gai gốc và chà chuôm; ta lại truyền cho mây đừng làm mưa xuống trên nó nữa.
And I will make it a waste; —It shall be neither pruned nor hoed, But there shall come up briars and thorns, —And upon the clouds, will I lay a charge, That they rain thereon no rain.
7 Vả, vườn nho của Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, ấy là nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên, và những người của Giu-đa tức là cây mà Ngài ưa thích. Ngài trông họ được công chánh, mà nầy, có sự bạo ngược; trông được công bình, mà nầy, có tiếng kêu la.
Surely the vineyard of Yahweh of hosts, is the house of Israel, And, the men of Judah, are the plantation in which he dearly delighted, —And he waited, For equity but lo! murderous iniquity, For the rule of right but lo the cry of the wronged.
8 Khốn thay cho những kẻ thêm nhà vào nhà, thêm ruộng vào ruộng, cho đến chừng nào chẳng còn chỗ hở nữa, và các ngươi ở một mình giữa xứ!
Alas for them who join house to house, Field to field, bring they near, —Until there is no room, But ye are left to dwell alone in the midst of the land.
9 Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân có phán vào tai tôi những lời nầy: Thật nhiều nhà sẽ bỏ hoang, những nhà ấy lớn và đẹp mà chẳng có người ở!
In mine ears, [said] Yahweh of hosts, —Verily, houses in abundance, shall become, a desolation, Large and fair, without inhabitant;
10 Aáy vậy, mười mẫu vườn nho chỉ sanh được một bát rượu; một ô-me hột giống chỉ được một ê-pha.
For, ten yokes of vineyard, shall yield one bath, —And the seed of a homer, shall yield an ephah,
11 Khốn thay cho kẻ dậy sớm đặng tìm kiếm rượu, chầy đến ban đêm, phát nóng vì rượu!
Alas, for them who rise early in the morning that strong drink, they may pursue, —Who follow on in the evening cool [until] with wine, they are heated;
12 Trong tiệc yến họ có những đàn cầm, đàn sắt, trống cơm, ống sáo và rượu nữa, nhưng chẳng thiết đến công việc Đức Giê-hô-va; họ chẳng xem xét công trình của tay Ngài.
And it cometh to pass—that lyre and harp, timbrel and flute and wine are in their banquets, —But, the doing of Yahweh, they do not discern, And the work of his hands, have they not seen.
13 Vậy nên, dân ta phải bắt làm phu tù, vì không hiểu biết; kẻ sang nó chịu đói, chúng dân nó chịu khát.
Therefore, are my people taken away captive before they know it, —And their honourable men are famished with hunger, And, their multitude, do gape for thirst.
14 Vậy nên sự ham muốn của âm phủ đã rộng thêm, hả miệng vô ngần, sự vinh hiển nó, dân chúng nó, sự sang trọng nó và kẻ vui mừng giữa nó đều sa xuống đó. (Sheol h7585)
Therefore, hath hades enlarged her desire, And opened her mouth to its widest, —And their glory, and their multitude and their pomp. and he that is uproarious shall descend thereinto. (Sheol h7585)
15 Kẻ hèn bị khuất; kẻ tôn trọng bị thấp hèn, con mắt người cao ngạo bị hạ xuống;
And the mean man hath been bowed down And the mighty man hath been humbled, —Yea the looks of the haughty shall be humbled.
16 song Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân lên cao trong sự công chánh, Đức Chúa Trời là Đấng Thánh nên thánh trong sự công bình.
But Yahweh of hosts, hath been exalted, in justice, —And the GOD that is holy hath been hallowed in righteousness;
17 Bấy giờ những chiên con sẽ ăn cỏ như trong đồng cỏ mình, người ngụ cư sẽ ăn ruộng hoang của kẻ giàu.
Then shall the young rams feed where they please, —And, the wastes of the wealthy, shall strangers consume.
18 Khốn thay cho kẻ lấy sự dối trá làm dây kéo sự gian ác theo sau, và như dùng đỏi xe kéo tội lỗi;
Alas! for them Who draw on themselves punishment with cords of falsehood, —And as with waggon-bands, penalty:
19 họ nói: Xin vội vã kíp làm nên công việc Ngài, hầu cho chúng tôi thấy! Nguyền xin mưu của Đấng Thánh Y-sơ-ra-ên hãy lại gần, hãy tới đến, cho chúng tôi được biết!
Who say—Let his work quicken—let it hasten, That we may see, —And let the purpose of Israel’s Holy One, draw near and come. That we may know!
20 Khốn thay cho kẻ gọi dữ là lành, gọi lành là dữ; lấy tối làm sáng, lấy sáng làm tối; vật chi cay trở cho là ngọt, vật chi ngọt trở cho là cay.
Alas! for them Who call evil good and good evil, —Who put darkness for light and light for darkness, Who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
21 Khốn thay cho kẻ chính mắt mình coi mình là khôn ngoan, tự mình xét đoán mình là thông sáng!
Alas for them Who are wise in their own eyes, —And in their own sight, are prudent.
22 Khốn thay cho kẻ mạnh uống rượu, có sức lực đặng pha các thức uống hay say;
Alas for them Who are heroes to drink wine, —And men of valour to mingle strong drink,
23 vì hối lộ mà xưng kẻ có tội là công bình, và cướp lấy sự công bình của người nghĩa!
Who justify the lawless, for a bribe, —Whereas the righteousness of the righteous, they take from him.
24 Vậy nên, như lửa đốt gốc rạ và rơm cháy thiêu trong ngọn lửa thể nào, thì rễ họ cũng mục nát và hoa họ cũng bay đi như bụi đất thể ấy; vì họ đã bỏ luật pháp của Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, và khinh lời của Đấng Thánh Y-sơ-ra-ên.
Therefore, As a tongue of fire, eateth up straw, And a flame reduceth, dry grass, to powder, Their root, like rottenness, shall become, And their blossom, like dust shall ascend, —Because they refused the law of Yahweh of hosts, And the utterance of the Holy One of Israel, they despised.
25 Nhân đó, cơn thạnh nộ của Đức Giê-hô-va phừng lên nghịch cùng dân Ngài. Ngài đã giơ tay nghịch cùng nó và đánh nó; núi non đều rúng động: xác chết chúng nó như phân ngang ngửa giữa đường. Dầu vậy, cơn giận Ngài chẳng lánh khỏi, nhưng tay Ngài còn giơ ra.
For this cause, did the anger of Yahweh kindle upon his own people, And he stretched out his hand against them and smote them—So that the mountains, trembled, And, their dead bodies, served, for fuel in the midst of the streets. For all this, hath his anger, not turned back, But still, is his hand outstretched,
26 Ngài dựng cờ lên hướng về các dân tộc ở xa cách, và xuýt mà gọi họ từ nơi đầu cùng đất; và nầy, họ lật đật chạy đến, kíp và mau.
Therefore will he lift up an ensign to the nations afar off, And signal for him from the end of the earth, —And lo! with hot haste, will he come:
27 Trong đám họ không một người nào mỏi mệt, chẳng ai vấp váp, chẳng ai ngủ gật hoặc ngủ mê; không ai có dây lưng tháo ra hoặc dây giày đứt.
None shall be weary, and none shall stumble in his midst, He shall neither slumber nor sleep, —Nor shall be loosened, the girdle of his loins, Nor snapped, the thong of his sandals:
28 Tên của họ đã nhọn, cung đã giương; vó ngựa cứng dường đá, bánh xe như gió lốc.
Whose arrows, are sharpened, and all his bows, bent, —The hoofs of his horses, like flint, are accounted, And, his wheels, [are] like a storm-wind:
29 Tiếng gầm khác nào sư tử cái; rống như sư tử con; chúng nó sẽ rống và bắt mồi đem đi, không ai cứu được.
A roar, hath he, like a lioness, —He will roar like wild lions—And will growl, and lay hold on prey, and carry into safety, and there be none to deliver.
30 Trong ngày đó, sẽ có tiếng gầm nghịch cùng nó khác nào tiếng sóng biển ầm ầm; nếu người ta nó vào xứ, chỉ thấy tối tăm và khốn nạn: sự sáng sẽ bị che tối bởi các chòm mây.
Yea he will growl at him in that day, like the growling of the sea, —Though he look hard for the land, lo! the darkness of distress, Yea the light, hath grown dark in its clouds!
