Gióp 42

1 Gióp thưa với Ðức Chúa Trời rằng:

Then Iob answered the Lord, and sayd,

2 Tôi biết rằng Chúa có thể làm được mọi sự, Chẳng có ý chỉ nào Chúa lấy làm khó lắm.

I knowe that thou canst doe all things, and that there is no thought hidde from thee.

3 Kẻ nầy là ai, không hiểu biết gì, lại dám che ám ý chỉ của Chúa? Phải, tôi đã nói những điều tôi không hiểu đến, Tức các sự lạ lùng quá cho tôi, mà tôi chẳng thông biết.

Who is hee that hideth counsell without knowledge? therefore haue I spoken that I vnderstood not, euen things too wonderfull for me, and which I knew not.

4 Hỡi Chúa, xin hãy nghe, tôi sẽ nói; Tôi sẽ hỏi Chúa, Chúa sẽ chỉ dạy cho tôi.

Heare, I beseech thee, and I will speake: I will demaunde of thee, and declare thou vnto me.

5 Trước lỗ tai tôi có nghe đồn về Chúa, Nhưng bây giờ, mắt tôi đã thấy Ngài:

I haue heard of thee by the hearing of the eare, but now mine eye seeth thee.

6 Vì vậy, tôi lấy làm gớm ghê tôi, Và ăn năn trong tro bụi.

Therefore I abhorre my selfe, and repent in dust and ashes.

7 Xảy sau khi Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán các lời ấy với Gióp, thì Ngài phán cùng Ê-li-pha, người Thê-man, mà rằng: Cơn thạnh nộ ta nổi lên cùng ngươi và hai bạn hữu ngươi; bởi vì các ngươi không có nói về ta cách xứng đáng, y như Gióp, kẻ tôi tớ ta, đã nói.

Now after that the Lord had spoken these wordes vnto Iob, ye Lord also said vnto Eliphaz ye Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for yee haue not spoken of me the thing that is right, like my seruant Iob.

8 Vậy bây giờ, hãy bắt bảy con bò đực và bảy con chiên đực đi đến Gióp, kẻ tôi tớ ta, mà vì các ngươi dâng lên một của lễ thiêu; rồi Gióp, kẻ tôi tớ ta sẽ cầu nguyện cho các ngươi; vì ta sẽ nhậm lời người, kẻo e ta đãi các ngươi tùy theo sự ngu muội của các ngươi; vì các ngươi không có nói về ta cách xứng đáng, như Gióp, kẻ tôi tớ ta, đã nói.

Therefore take vnto you nowe seuen bullockes, and seuen rammes, and go to my seruant Iob, and offer vp for your selues a burnt offring, and my seruant Iob shall pray for you: for I wil accept him, least I should put you to shame, because ye haue not spoken of me the thing, which is right, like my seruant Iob.

9 Vậy, Ê-li-pha, người Thê-man, Binh-đát, người Su-a, Sô-pha, người Na-a-ma, bèn đi và làm theo điều Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán dặn mình; rồi Ðức Giê-hô-va nhậm lời của Gióp.

So Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the Lord had saide vnto them, and the Lord accepted Iob.

10 Vậy, khi Gióp đã cầu nguyện cho bạn hữu mình rồi, Ðức Giê-hô-va bèn đem người ra khỏi cảnh khốn người, và ban lại cho Gióp bằng gấp hai các tài sản mà người đã có trước.

Then the Lord turned the captiuitie of Iob, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gaue Iob twise so much as he had before.

11 Hết thảy anh em người, chị em người, và những người quen biết Gióp từ trước, đều đến thăm và ăn bữa với người tại trong nhà người. Chúng chia buồn và an ủy người về các tai họa mà Ðức Giê-hô-va đã khiến giáng trên người; mỗi người đều cho Gióp một nén bạc và một cái vòng vàng.

Then came vnto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had bene of his acquaintance before, and did eate bread with him in his house, and had compassion of him, and comforted him for al the euil, that the Lord had brought vpon him, and euery man gaue him a piece of money, and euery one an earing of golde.

12 Như vậy, Ðức Giê-hô-va ban phước cho buổi già của Gióp nhiều hơn lúc đang thì: người được mười bốn ngàn chiên, sáu ngàn lạc đà, một ngàn đôi bò, và một ngàn lừa cái.

So the Lord blessed the last dayes of Iob more then the first: for he had foureteene thousand sheepe, and sixe thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand shee asses.

13 Người cũng có bảy con trai và ba con gái.

He had also seue sonnes, and three daughters.

14 Người đặt tên cho con gái lớn là Giê-mi-ma; con thứ nhì là Kê-xia, và con thứ ba là Kê-ren-Ha-cúc.

And he called the name of one Iemimah, and the name of the seconde Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch.

15 Trong toàn xứ chẳng có người nữ nào lịch sự bằng ba con gái của Gióp. Cha của họ cho họ một phần cơ nghiệp trong anh em họ.

In all the lande were no women found so faire as the daughters of Iob, and their father gaue them inheritaunce among their brethren.

16 Sau việc ấy, Gióp còn sống một trăm bốn mươi năm; người thấy các con trai, cháu, chít mình đến đời thứ tư.

And after this liued Iob an hundreth and fourtie yeres, and sawe his sonnes, and his sonnes sonnes, euen foure generations.

17 Rồi Gióp qua đời tuổi cao tác lớn.

So Iob dyed, being old, and full of dayes.
