I-sai-a 21
1 Gánh nặng về đồng vắng ở gần biển. Nó đến từ đồng vắng, là đất đáng kinh khiếp, khác nào cơn gió lốc vụt qua trong phương nam.
The burden of the desert Sea. As the whirlewindes in the South vse to passe from the wildernesse, so shall it come from the horrible land.
2 Có sự hiện thấy hãi hùng đã tỏ ra cho tôi: kẻ gian dối ở gian dối, kẻ tàn hại làm tàn hại! Hỡi người Ê-lam, hãy lên; Hỡi người Mê-đi, hãy vây đi! Ta sẽ làm cho dứt mọi tiếng than thở nó.
A grieuous vision was shewed vnto me, The transgressour against a transgressour, and the destroyer against a destroyer. Goe vp Elam, besiege Media: I haue caused all the mourning thereof to cease.
3 Vậy nên lưng ta đau lắm, quặn thắt như đờn bà đang sanh đẻ; sự đau đớn mà ta chịu, làm cho ta không thấy!
Therefore are my loynes filled with sorow: sorowes haue taken me as the sorowes of a woman that trauayleth: I was bowed downe when I heard it, and I was amased when I sawe it.
4 Lòng ta mê muội, rất nên khiếp sợ; vốn là chiều hôm ta ưa thích, đã đổi ra sự run rẩy cho ta.
Mine heart failed: fearefulnesse troubled me: the night of my pleasures hath he turned into feare vnto me.
5 Người ta đặt bàn tiệc, cắt kẻ canh giữ; người ta ăn và uống. Hỡi các quan trưởng, hãy chờ dậy! Hãy thoa dầu cho cái thuẫn!
Prepare thou the table: watch in the watch towre: eate, drinke: arise, ye princes, anoynt the shielde.
6 Vì Chúa phán cùng tôi như vầy: Hãy đi, sắp đặt vọng canh, thấy việc gì thì báo.
For thus hath the Lord said vnto me, Go, set a watchman, to tell what he seeth.
7 Khi nó thấy quân lính cỡi ngựa đi từng cặp, và có lừa cùng lạc đà từng bầy, thì nó phải chăm chỉ mà nghe.
And he sawe a charet with two horsemen: a charet of an asse, and a charet of a camel: and he hearkened and tooke diligent heede.
8 Ðoạn nó kêu lên như sư tử, mà rằng: Hỡi Chúa, tôi đứng rình nơi chòi trông cả ngày, và đứng tại chỗ tôi canh cả đêm.
And he cryed, A lyon: my lorde, I stand continually vpon ye watche towre in the day time, and I am set in my watche euery night:
9 Nầy, có quân lính cỡi ngựa đi từng cặp mà đến. Nó đáp rằng: Ba-by-lôn đổ xuống rồi, đổ xuống rồi! Mọi hình tượng tà thần của nó đã bể nát trên đất rồi!
And beholde, this mans charet commeth with two horsemen. And he answered and said, Babel is fallen: it is fallen, and all the images of her gods hath he broken vnto the ground.
10 Hỡi lúa bị đạp của ta, là thóc trên sân kia! sự ta đã nghe từ Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, tức là Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, thì ta đã bảo cho ngươi biết.
O my threshing, and the corne of my floore. That which I haue heard of the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, haue I shewed vnto you.
11 Gánh nặng về Ðu-ma. Có người từ Sê -i-rơ kêu tôi rằng: Hỡi người canh, đêm thể nào? Hỡi người canh, đêm thể nào?
The burden of Dumah. He calleth vnto me out of Seir, Watchman, what was in ye night? Watchman, what was in the night?
12 Người canh đáp rằng: Buổi sáng đến; đêm cũng đến. Nếu muốn hỏi thì hỏi đi; hãy trở lại, hãy đến.
The watchman saide, The morning commeth, and also the night. If yee will aske, enquire: returne and come.
13 Gánh nặng về A-ra-bi. Hỡi đoàn đi buôn ở Ðê-đan, sẽ ngủ trong rừng xứ A-ra-bi. Dân cư Thê-ma đã đem nước cho những kẻ khát;
The burden against Arabia. In the forest of Arabia shall yee tarie all night, euen in the waies of Dedanim.
14 đã đón những người trốn đặng cho họ bánh.
O inhabitants of the lande of Tema, bring foorth water to meete the thirstie, and preuent him that fleeth with his bread.
15 Vì họ trốn gươm, trốn sự chiến tranh kinh khiếp.
For they flee from the drawen swords, euen from the drawen sword, and from the bent bowe, and from the grieuousnesse of warre.
16 Chúa đã phán cùng tôi như vầy: Trong một năm nữa, kể như năm kẻ ở mướn, cả sự vinh hiển của Kê-đa sẽ hao mòn.
For thus hath the Lord sayd vnto me, Yet a yeere according to the yeeres of an hireling, and all the glorie of Kedar shall faile.
17 Những kẻ cầm cung mạnh mẽ, là con cái của Kê-đa, sẽ sót lại chẳng bao lăm. Vì Giê-hô-va, Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, đã phán vậy.
And the residue of the nomber of ye strong archers of the sonnes of Kedar shall be fewe: for the Lord God of Israel hath spoken it.
