I-sai-a 13
1 Gánh nặng về Ba-by-lôn, mà Ê-sai, con trai A-mốt, đã thấy.
The burden of Babel, which Isaiah the sonne of Amoz did see.
2 Hãy dựng cờ trên núi trọi! Hãy cất tiếng kêu chúng nó, lấy tay mà ngoắt, cho người ta vào các cửa người sang trọng!
Lift vp a standard vpon the hie mountaine: lift vp the voyce vnto them: wagge the hand, that they may goe into the gates of the nobles.
3 Chính ta đã truyền lịnh cho kẻ ta đã biệt riêng ra, và đã gọi những người mạnh mẽ của ta đến sự thạnh nộ, họ vui mừng vì cớ sự cao trọng của ta.
I haue commanded them, that I haue sanctified: and I haue called ye mightie to my wrath, and them that reioyce in my glorie.
4 Có tiếng xôn xao của đoàn lũ trên các núi, dường như tiếng xôn xao của một dân đông! Ấy là tiếng ồn áo các nước của các dân tộc nhóm lại! Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân điểm soát đạo quân mình để ra trận.
The noyse of a multitude is in the mountaines, like a great people: a tumultuous voyce of the kingdomes of the nations gathered together: the Lord of hostes nombreth the hoste of the battell.
5 Chính Ðức Giê-hô-va và những khí giới của sự thạnh nộ Ngài đến từ phương xa, từ nơi rất xa trên trời, để hủy diệt cả đất.
They come from a farre countrey, from the end of the heauen: euen the Lord with the weapons of his wrath to destroy the whole land.
6 Các ngươi khá than khóc! Vì ngày của Ðức Giê-hô-va đã gần: ngày đó đến như cơn tại nạn đến bởi Ðấng Toàn năng.
Howle you, for the day of the Lord is at hande: it shall come as a destroier from the Almightie.
7 Vậy nên mọi tay đều yếu đuối, lòng người đều tan chảy.
Therefore shall all hands be weakened, and all mens hearts shall melt,
8 Chúng đều kinh hoàng, bị sự đau đớn thảm sầu bắt lấy, quặn thắt như đờn bà đương đẻ; hắc hơ hắc hãi nhìn nhau, mặt như mặt ngọn lửa!
And they shalbe afraid: anguish and sorowe shall take them, and they shall haue paine, as a woman that trauaileth: euery one shall be amased at his neighbour, and their faces shalbe like flames of fire.
9 Nầy, ngày Ðức Giê-hô-va đến, là ngày hung dữ, có sự thạnh nộ và nóng giận để làm đất nầy nên hoang vu, và diệt những kẻ có tội khỏi đó.
Beholde, the day of the Lord commeth, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger to lay the land wast: and he shall destroy the sinners out of it.
10 Vì các ngôi sao và các đám sao trên trời mọc lên thì mờ tối, mặt trăng không soi sáng đâu.
For the starres of heauen and the planets thereof shall not giue their light: the sunne shalbe darkened in his going foorth, and the moone shall not cause her light to shine.
11 Ta sẽ phạt thế gian vì sự độc ác nó, phạt kẻ dữ vì tội lỗi chúng nó, làm cho kẻ kiêu hết kiêu, hạ sự tự cao của kẻ bạo ngược.
And I will visite the wickednes vpon the worlde, and their iniquitie vpon the wicked, and I wil cause the arrogancie of the proud to cease, and will cast downe the pride of tyrants.
12 Ta sẽ làm cho loài người hiếm có hơn vàng quí, thật ta sẽ làm cho loài người hiếm có hơn vàng ròng xứ Ô-phia.
I will make a man more precious then fine golde, euen a man aboue the wedge of golde of Ophir.
13 Vậy nên, ta sẽ khiến các tầng trời rung rinh, đất bị day động lìa khỏi chỗ mình, vì cơn thạnh nộ của Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, trong ngày Ngài nổi giận dữ.
Therefore I will shake the heauen, and the earth shall remooue out of her place in the wrath of the Lord of hostes, and in the day of his fierce anger.
14 Bấy giờ, ai nấy như con hươu bị đuổi, như bầy chiên không người nhóm lại, sẽ trở lại cùng dân mình, sẽ trốn về xứ mình.
And it shall be as a chased doe, and as a sheepe that no man taketh vp. euery man shall turne to his owne people, and flee eche one to his owne lande.
15 Kẻ nào người ta gặp được sẽ bị đâm; kẻ nào bị bắt sẽ ngã dưới lưỡi gươm.
Euery one that is founde, shall be striken through: and whosoeuer ioyneth himselfe, shall fal by the sworde.
16 Con trẻ họ sẽ bị đập chết trước mắt họ, nhà bị cướp, vợ bị dâm hãm.
Their children also shall be broken in pieces before their eyes: their houses shall be spoiled, and their wiues rauished.
17 Nầy, ta sẽ xui người Mê-đi nghịch cùng họ, những người đó chẳng quí bạc, chẳng thích vàng;
Beholde, I will stirre vp the Medes against them, which shall not regarde siluer, nor be desirous of golde.
18 dùng cung đập giập kẻ trai trẻ, chẳng thương xót đến thai trong lòng mẹ, mắt chẳng tiếc trẻ con.
With bowes also shall they destroy ye children, and shall haue no compassion vpon the fruit of the wombe, and their eies shall not spare the children.
19 Ba-by-lôn, là sự vinh hiển các nước, sự hoa mĩ của lòng kiêu ngạo người Canh-đê, sẽ giống như Sô-đôm và Gô-mô-rơ mà Ðức Chúa Trời đã lật đổ.
And Babel the glorie of kingdomes, the beautie and pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as the destruction of God in Sodom and Gomorah.
20 Nó sẽ chẳng hề có người ở nữa, trải đời nọ sang đời kia không ai ở đó; người A rạp không đóng trại tại đó, những kẻ chăn cũng chẳng cầm bầy mình ở đó.
It shall not bee inhabited for euer, neither shall it be dwelled in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch his tents there, neither shall the shepheardes make their foldes there.
21 Song những thú rừng sẽ đến ở, và nhà cửa đầy những chim cú; chim đã choán làm chỗ mình, dê đực lấy làm nơi nhảy nhót.
But Ziim shall lodge there, and their houses shall be ful of Ohim: Ostriches shall dwel there, and the Satyrs shall dance there.
22 Sài lang sủa trong cung điện, có rừng tru trong đền đài vui sướng. Kỳ nó đã gần đến, ngày nó sẽ không được dài nữa.
And Iim shall crie in their palaces, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and the time thereof is readie to come, and the daies thereof shall not be prolonged.
