1 Ðức Chúa Trời ban phước cho Nô-ê cùng các con trai người, mà phán rằng: Hãy sanh sản, thêm nhiều, làm cho đầy dẫy trên mặt đất.
And God blessed Noah and his sonnes, and said to them, Bring foorth fruite, and multiplie, and replenish the earth.
2 Các loài vật ở trên đất, các loài chim trời, và các vật hành động trên đất, cùng các cá biển, đều sẽ kinh khủng ngươi và bị phú vào tay ngươi.
Also the feare of you, and the dread of you shalbe vpon euery beast of the earth, and vpon euery foule of the heauen, vpon all that moueth on the earth, and vpon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they deliuered.
3 Phàm vật chi hành động và có sự sống thì dùng làm đồ ăn cho các ngươi. Ta cho mọi vật đó như ta đã cho thứ cỏ xanh.
Euery thing that moueth and liueth, shall be meate for you: as the greene herbe, haue I giuen you all things.
4 Song các ngươi không nên ăn thịt còn hồn sống, nghĩa là có máu.
But flesh with the life thereof, I meane, with the blood thereof, shall ye not eate.
5 Quả thật, ta sẽ đòi máu của sự sống ngươi lại, hoặc nơi các loài thú vật, hoặc nơi tay người, hoặc nơi tay của anh em người.
For surely I will require your blood, wherein your liues are: at the hand of euery beast will I require it: and at the hand of man, euen at the hand of a mans brother will I require the life of man.
6 Hễ kẻ nào làm đổ máu người, thì sẽ bị người khác làm đổ máu lại; vì Ðức Chúa Trời làm nên người như hình của Ngài.
Who so sheadeth mans blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God hath he made man.
7 Vậy, các ngươi hãy sanh sản, thêm nhiều, và làm cho đầy dẫy trên mặt đất.
But bring ye forth fruite and multiplie: grow plentifully in the earth, and increase therein.
8 Ðức Chúa Trời cũng phán cùng Nô-ê và các con trai người rằng:
God spake also to Noah and to his sonnes with him, saying,
9 Còn phần ta đây, ta lập giao ước cùng các ngươi, cùng dòng dõi các ngươi,
Behold, I, euen I establish my couenant with you, and with your seede after you,
10 và cùng mọi vật sống ở với ngươi, nào loài chim, nào súc vật, nào loài thú ở trên đất, tức là các loài ở trong tàu ra, cho đến các loài vật ở trên đất.
And with euery liuing creature that is with you, with the foule, with the cattell, and with euery beast of the earth with you, from all that goe out of the Arke, vnto euery beast of the earth.
11 Vậy, ta lập giao ước cùng các ngươi, và các loài xác thịt chẳng bao giờ lại bị nước lụt hủy diệt, và cũng chẳng có nước lụt để hủy hoại đất nữa.
And my couenant will I establish with you, that from henceforth all flesh shall not be rooted out by ye waters of the flood, neither shall there be a flood to destroy the earth any more.
12 Ðức Chúa Trời lại phán rằng: Ðây là dấu chỉ về sự giao ước mà ta lập cùng các ngươi, cùng hết thảy vật sống ở với các ngươi, trải qua các đời mãi mãi.
Then God saide, This is the token of the couenant which I make betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing, that is with you vnto perpetuall generations.
13 Ta đặt mống của ta trên từng mây, dùng làm dấu chỉ sự giao ước của ta với đất.
I haue set my bowe in the cloude, and it shalbe for a signe of the couenant betweene me and the earth.
14 Phàm lúc nào ta góp các đám mây trên mặt đất và phàm mống mọc trên từng mây,
And when I shall couer the earth with a cloud, and the bowe shall be seene in the cloude,
15 thì ta sẽ nhớ lại sự giao ước của ta đã lập cùng các ngươi, và cùng các loài xác thịt có sự sống, thì nước chẳng bao giờ lại trở nên lụt mà hủy diệt các loài xác thịt nữa.
Then will I remember my couenant, which is betweene me and you, and betweene euery liuing thing in all flesh, and there shalbe no more waters of a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 Vậy, cái mống sẽ ở trên mây, ta nhìn xem nó đặng nhớ lại sự giao ước đời đời của Ðức Chúa Trời cùng các loài xác thịt có sự sống ở trên đất.
Therefore the bowe shalbe in the cloude, that I may see it, and remember the euerlasting couenant betweene God, and euery liuing thing in all flesh that is vpon the earth.
17 Ðức Chúa Trời lại phán cùng Nô-ê rằng: Ðó là dấu chỉ sự giao ước mà ta đã lập giữa ta và các xác thịt ở trên mặt đất.
God said yet to Noah, This is the signe of the couenant, which I haue established betweene me and all flesh that is vpon the earth.
18 Các con trai của Nô-ê ở trong tàu ra là Sem, Cham và Gia-phết. Vả, Cham là cha của Ca-na-an.
Nowe the sonnes of Noah going foorth of the Arke, were Shem and Ham and Iapheth. And Ham is the father of Canaan.
19 Ấy đó, là ba con trai của Nô-ê, và cũng do nơi họ mà có loài người ở khắp trên mặt đất.
These are the three sonnes of Noah, and of them was the whole earth ouerspred.
20 Vả, Nô-ê khởi cày đất và trồng nho.
Noah also began to be an husband man and planted a vineyard.
21 Người uống rượu say, rồi lõa thể ở giữa trại mình.
And he drunke of ye wine and was drunken, and was vncouered in the middes of his tent.
22 Cham là cha Ca-na-an, thấy sự trần truồng của cha, thì ra ngoài thuật lại cùng hai anh em mình.
And when Ham the father of Canaan sawe the nakednesse of his father, he tolde his two brethren without.
23 Nhưng Sem và Gia-phết đều lấy áo choàng vắt trên vai mình, đi thùi lui đến đắp khuất thân cho cha; và bởi họ xây mặt qua phía khác, nên chẳng thấy sự trần truồng của cha chút nào.
Then tooke Shem and Iapheth a garment, and put it vpon both their shoulders, and went backwarde, and couered the nakednesse of their father with their faces backwarde: so they sawe not their fathers nakednesse.
24 Khi Nô-ê tỉnh rượu rồi, hay được điều con thứ hai đã làm cho mình,
Then Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his yonger sonne had done vnto him,
25 bèn nói rằng: Ca-na-an đáng rủa sả! Nó sẽ làm mọi cho các tôi tớ của anh em nó.
And said, Cursed be Canaan: a seruant of seruants shall he be vnto his brethren.
26 Người lại nói rằng: Ðáng ngợi khen Giê-hô-va, là Ðức Chúa Trời của Sem thay; Ca-na-an phải làm tôi cho họ!
He said moreouer, blessed be the Lord God of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
27 Cầu xin Ðức Chúa Trời mở rộng đất cho Gia-phết, cho người ở nơi trại của Sem; còn Ca-na-an phải làm tôi của họ.
God perswade Iapheth, that he may dwell in the tentes of Shem, and let Canaan be his seruant.
28 Sau khi lụt, Nô-ê còn sống ba trăm năm mươi năm.
And Noah liued after the flood three hundreth and fiftie yeeres.
29 Vậy, Nô-ê hưởng thọ được chín trăm năm mươi tuổi, rồi qua đời.
So all the dayes of Noah were nine hundreth and fiftie yeeres: and he died.
