II Các Vua 18
1 Năm thứ ba đời Ô-sê, con trai Ê-la, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, thì Ê-xê-chia, con trai A-cha, vua Giu-đa, lên làm vua.
And it was in year three of Hoshea [the] son of Elah [the] king of Israel he became king Hezekiah [the] son of Ahaz [the] king of Judah.
2 Người được hai mươi lăm tuổi khi lên làm vua, và cai trị hai mươi chín năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ người tên là A-bi, con gái của Xa-cha-ri.
A son of twenty and five year[s] he was when became king he and twenty and nine year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Abi [the] daughter of Zechariah.
3 Người làm điều thiện trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va y như Ða-vít, tổ phụ người, đã làm.
And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done David ancestor his.
4 Người phá hủy các nơi cao, đập bể những trụ thờ, đánh hạ các-sê-ra, và bẻ gãy con rắn đồng mà Môi-se đã làm; bởi vì cho đến khi ấy dân Y-sơ-ra-ên xông hương cho nó người ta gọi hình rắn ấy là Nê-hu-tan.
He - he removed the high places and he broke the sacred pillars and he cut down the Asherah pole and he crushed to pieces [the] snake of bronze which he had made Moses for until the days those they were [the] people of Israel making smoke to it and someone had called it Nehushtan.
5 Ê-xê-chia nhờ cậy nơi Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên; nên trong các vua sau người, hoặc trong những vua trước người, chẳng có một ai giống như người.
In Yahweh [the] God of Israel he trusted and after him not anyone was like him among all [the] kings of Judah and [those] who they were before him.
6 Người tríu mến Ðức Giê-hô-va, không xây bỏ Ngài, song gìn giữ các điều răn mà Ðức Giê-hô-va đã truyền cho Môi-se.
And he clung to Yahweh not he turned aside from after him and he kept commandments his which he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
7 Ðức Giê-hô-va ở cùng người; hễ người đi làm sự gì, đều được thành tựu. Người dấy nghịch với vua A-si-ri, không phục vua ấy nữa.
And he was Yahweh with him in all that he went out he prospered and he rebelled against [the] king of Assyria and not he served him.
8 Người hãm đánh xứ dân Phi-li-tin cho đến Ga-xa và địa hạt chung quanh thành, từ tháp vọng canh đến thành kiên cố.
He he struck down [the] Philistines to Gaza and territories its from a tower of watchmen unto a city of fortification.
9 Xảy ra năm thứ tư đời Ê-xê-chia, nhằm năm thứ bảy đời Ô-sê, con trai Ê-la, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, thì Sanh-ma-na, vua A-si-ri, đi lên đánh Sa-ma-ri và vây nó.
And it was in the year fourth of the king Hezekiah it [was] the year seventh of Hoshea [the] son of Elah [the] king of Israel he came up Shalmaneser [the] king of Assyria on Samaria and he laid siege on it.
10 Cuối ba năm, người hãm lấy: ấy vậy nhằm năm thứ sáu đời Ê-xê-chia, năm thứ chín đời Ô-sê, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, thì Sa-ma-ri bị chiếm lấy.
And they captured it from [the] end of three years in year six of Hezekiah it [was] year nine of Hoshea [the] king of Israel it was captured Samaria.
11 Vua A-si-ri đem dân Y-sơ-ra-ên qua A-si-ri, đặt tại Cha-la và trên bờ Cha-bo, sông xứ Gô-xan, cùng trong các thành của Mê-đi;
And he took into exile [the] king of Assyria Israel Assyria towards and he led them in Halah and on [the] Habor [the] river of Gozan and [the] cities of Media.
12 ấy vì chúng không có vâng theo lời phán của Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời mình, nhưng bội giao ước Ngài, không khứng nghe, và chẳng làm theo các điều mà Môi-se, tôi tớ của Ðức Giê-hô-va, đã truyền cho.
On - that not they had listened to [the] voice of Yahweh God their and they had transgressed covenant his all that he had commanded Moses [the] servant of Yahweh and not they listened and not they did.
13 Năm thứ mười bốn đời Ê-xê-chia, San-chê-ríp, vua A-si-ri, đến đánh các thành kiên cố của Giu-đa và hãm lấy nó.
And in four-teen year of the king Hezekiah he came up Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria on all [the] cities of Judah fortified and he seized them.
14 Ê-xê-chia, vua Giu-đa, sai sứ đến La-ki nói với vua A-si-ri rằng: Tôi phạm lỗi. Cầu vua lìa khỏi nước tôi; hễ vua đòi tôi điều gì, tôi sẽ chịu. Vua A-si-ri bắt Ê-xê-chia, vua Giu-đa, phải trả ba trăm ta lâng bạc, và ba mươi ta lâng vàng.
And he sent Hezekiah [the] king of Judah to [the] king of Assyria - Lachish towards - saying - I have sinned turn back from on me [that] which you will put on me I will bear and he imposed [the] king of Assyria on Hezekiah [the] king of Judah three hundred talent[s] of silver and thirty talent[s] of gold.
15 Ê-xê-chia nộp cho người các bạc ở trong đền Ðức Giê-hô-va và trong kho tàng của cung vua.
And he gave Hezekiah all the silver which was found [the] house of Yahweh and in [the] treasuries of [the] house of the king.
16 Bấy giờ, Ê-xê-chia gỡ vàng của các cửa và cột đền thờ Ðức Giê-hô-va mà chính mình người đã cẩn vào, rồi nộp hết cho vua A-si-ri.
At the time that he cut off Hezekiah [the] doors of [the] temple of Yahweh and the door-posts which he had overlaid Hezekiah [the] king of Judah and he gave them to [the] king of Assyria.
17 Song, vua A-si-ri ở La-ki sai Tạt-tan, Ráp-sa-ri, và Ráp-sa-kê, đem theo một đạo binh mạnh, đến Giê-ru-sa-lem đánh vua Ê-xê-chia. Chúng đi lên Giê-ru-sa-lem và dừng lại tại cống ao trên, ở bên đường ruộng thợ nện.
And he sent [the] king of Assyria [the] commander in chief and [the] chief court-official - and [the] chief commander from Lachish to the king Hezekiah with an army massive Jerusalem and they went up and they came Jerusalem and they went up and they came and they stood at [the] conduit of the pool upper which [is] on [the] highway of [the] field of [the] washer.
18 Ðoạn, chúng xin nói chuyện với vua. Ê-li-a-kim, con trai Hinh-kia, quan cai đền, Sép-na, thơ ký, và Giô-a, con của A-sáp, quan thái sử, đều đi ra đến chúng.
And they called out to the king and he went out to them Eliakim [the] son of Hilkiah who [was] over the house and Shebna the scribe and Joah [the] son of Asaph the recorder.
19 Ráp-sa-kê nói cùng họ rằng: Ta xin các ngươi hãy nói với Ê-xê-chia rằng: Vua A-si-ri, là vua lớn, nói như vầy: Ngươi nhờ cậy ai dường ấy?
And he said to them [the] chief commander say please to Hezekiah thus he says the king great [the] king of Assyria what? [is] the trust this which you trust.
20 Ngươi có nói (chỉ những lời hư không đó thôi), mà rằng: Ta có mưu kế, sức mạnh đặng tranh chiến. Vậy, ngươi để lòng tin cậy nơi ai mà dấy loạn cùng ta?
You have said only a word of lips counsel and strength for war now on whom? do you rely that you have rebelled against me.
21 Ta thấy rõ điều đó: Ngươi nhờ cậy nơi Ê-díp-tô, thật như nương vào cây sậy gãy; ví ai nương dựa nó, ắt nó sẽ đâm vào tay, xoi lủng ngang qua. Phàm ai nhờ cậy Pha-ra-ôn, vua Ê-díp-tô, thì đều bị như thế.
Now there! you rely yourself on [the] staff of reed crushed this on Egypt which he will support himself anyone on it and it will go in palm his and it will pierce it [is] thus Pharaoh [the] king of Egypt to all those [who] rely on him.
22 Có lẽ các ngươi sẽ nói với ta rằng: Chúng tôi nhờ cậy nơi Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của chúng tôi. Nhưng há chẳng phải các nơi cao và bàn thờ của Ngài mà Ê-xê-chia có phá hủy, truyền cho Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem rằng: Các ngươi khá thờ phượng Chúa tại Giê-ru-sa-lem ở trước bàn thờ này, chăng?
And if you will say! to me to Yahweh God our we trust ¿ not [is] he [the one] whom he has removed Hezekiah high places his and altars his and he has said to Judah and to Jerusalem before the altar this you will bow down in Jerusalem.
23 Thế thì, ngươi hãy đánh cuộc với chủ ta, là vua A-si-ri. ta sẽ giao cho ngươi hai ngàn con ngựa, nếu ngươi tìm được quân kỵ để cỡi chúng nó.
And therefore make a wager please with master my with [the] king of Assyria and let me give to you two thousand horses if you will be able to put yourself riders on them.
24 Ấy chẳng đặng, thì ngươi làm sao đánh đuổi một quan tướng nhỏ hơn hết của chủ ta đặng? Ngươi cậy nơi Ê-díp-tô đặng kiếm xe và quân kỵ sao!
And how? will you turn back [the] face of [the] governor one of [the] servants of master my small and you have been relying yourself on Egypt for chariotry and for horsemen.
25 Há chẳng phải theo lịnh của Ðức Giê-hô-va mà loán qua miền đây, đặng phá hủy nó sao? Ðức Giê-hô-va thật có phán với ta rằng: Hãy đi lên đánh xứ này, và phá hủy nó.
Now ¿ from without Yahweh have I come up on the place this to destroy it Yahweh he said to me go up on the land this and destroy it.
26 Ê-li-a-kim, con trai Hinh-kia, Sép-na, và Giô-a, bèn nói với Ráp-sa-kê rằng: Hãy nói với các tôi tớ ông bằng tiếng Sy-ri; vì chúng tôi hiểu thứ tiếng ấy. Chớ nói cùng chúng tôi bằng tiếng Giu-đa vào tai dân sự ở trên vách thành.
And he said Eliakim [the] son of Hilkiah and Shebna and Joah to [the] chief commander speak please to servants your Aramaic for [are] understanding we and may not you speak with us [in] Judean in [the] ears of the people which [is] on the wall.
27 Ráp-sa-kê đáp lại với chúng rằng: Há có phải cùng chủ ngươi và ngươi mà chủ ta sai ta nói các lời này sao? Người há chẳng sai ta đến cùng những người đứng trên vách thành để họ với ngươi ăn phẩn mình và uống nước tiểu mình, sao?
And he said to them [the] chief commander ¿ to master your and to you has he sent me master my to speak the words these ¿ not to the men who are sitting on the wall to eat (own excrement their *QK) and to drink ([the] water of feet their *QK) with you.
28 Ðoạn, Ráp-sa-kê đứng tại đó, cất tiếng la lớn lên bằng tiếng Giu-đa mà rằng: Hãy nghe lời vua A-si-ri, là vua lớn, nói.
And he stood [the] chief commander and he called out with a voice great [in] Judean and he spoke and he said hear [the] word of the king great [the] king of Assyria.
29 Vua nói như vầy: Chớ để cho Ê-xê-chia lường gạt các ngươi, vì hắn không tài nào giải các ngươi khỏi tay ta.
Thus he says the king may not he deceive you Hezekiah for not he will be able to deliver you from hand his.
30 Cũng chớ để người dỗ các ngươi tin cậy nơi Ðức Giê-hô-va, mà rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ giải cứu chúng ta, và thành này sẽ chẳng sa vào tay của vua A-si-ri đâu.
And may not he make trust you Hezekiah to Yahweh saying certainly he will deliver us Yahweh and not it will be given the city this in [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
31 Chớ nghe Ê-xê-chia, vì vua A-si-ri nói như vầy: Khá hòa với ta và hàng đầu ta; mỗi người trong các ngươi sẽ được ăn hoa quả của vườn nho và của cây vả mình, cùng uống nước giếng mình,
May not you listen to Hezekiah for thus he says [the] king of Assyria make with me a blessing and come out to me and eat everyone own vine his and everyone own fig tree his and drink everyone [the] water of own cistern his.
32 cho đến chừng ta tới dẫn các ngươi vào trong một xứ giống như xứ của các ngươi, tức là xứ có lúa và rượu, bánh và vườn nho, một xứ sanh dầu ô-li-ve và mật ong. Như thế các ngươi sẽ sống, và không chết đâu. Vậy, chớ nghe Ê-xê-chia, vì hắn gạt các ngươi khi nói rằng: Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ giải cứu chúng ta.
Until come I and I will take you to a land like own land your a land of grain and new wine a land of bread and vineyards a land of olive tree of fresh oil and honey and live and not you will die and may not you listen to Hezekiah for he misleads you saying Yahweh he will deliver us.
33 Những thần của các dân tộc khác há có giải cứu xứ mình khỏi tay vua A-si-ri chăng?
¿ Really have they delivered [the] gods of the nations anyone land its from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
34 Thần của Ha-mát, và thần của Aït-bát ở đâu? Thần của Sê-phạt-va-im, thần của Hê-na, và thần của Y-va ở đâu? Các thần đó có giải cứu Sa-ma-ri khỏi tay ta chăng?
Where? [were] [the] gods of Hamath and Arpad where? [were] [the] gods of Sepharvaim Hena and Ivvah that they have delivered Samaria from hand my.
35 Trong những thần của muôn nước, có thần nào đã giải cứu xứ họ khỏi tay ta chăng? Ðức Giê-hô-va có thế giải cứu Giê-ru-sa-lem sao?
Who? among all [the] gods of the lands [are those] which they have delivered land their from hand my that he will deliver Yahweh Jerusalem from hand my.
36 Nhưng dân sự làm thinh, không đáp lại một lời; vì vua có truyền lịnh rằng: Các ngươi chớ trả lời.
And they kept silent the people and not they answered him anything for [was] [the] command of the king it saying not you must answer him.
37 Ê-li-a-kim, con trai Hinh-kia, quan cai đền, thơ ký Sép-na, và quan thái sử Giô-a, con trai A-sáp, trở về Ê-xê-chia, quần áo xé rách, thuật cho người mọi lời của Ráp-sa-kê.
And he went Eliakim [the] son of Hilkiah who [was] over the house and Shebna the scribe and Joah [the] son of Asaph the recorder to Hezekiah torn of clothes and they told to him [the] words of [the] chief commander.
